Confocal module for the Coherence Controlled Holographic Microscope

The Coherence Controlled Holographic Microscope (CCHM) was developed at BUT Brno for a quantitative phase imaging of living cells. Nowadays it ocurres that its imaging properties are enhanced by the use of additional modules. In the present the microscope is equipped with the epifluorescence module, which allows observation of fluorescently marked living cells. This thesis is going to follow up on the development of this module and is going to extend its options by confocal imaging. The disadvantage of current multi-channel confocal microscopes is a mechanical rotation of the Nipkow discs, which causes undesired mechanical vibrations. That is why in this thesis it is replaced by Digital Micromirror Device. With its use was developed optical system of the whole confocal model, whose correct funcion was simulated in optical CAD. The experimentally verified prototype serves to test the imaging properties. On this basis is designed an application idea of the fluorescence confocal module, which will be possible to connect to the CCHM microscope.

Spanish-Dutch Relations in the New World during the Existence of the West Indische Compagnie Eva Kubátová Abstract This dissertation is dedicated to the Spanish-Dutch relations in the New World during the existence of the first Dutch West India Company (1621-1674). On base of an imagological analysis, this thesis presents elements of mutual relations, reflected in hetero-images, together with self-representation of both analyzed parties (thus self-image) within the ongoing conflict of the Eighty Years' War. The imagological analysis is applied on archival material, chiefly the Dutch pamphlets and Spanish Relaciones de sucesos (which can be translated as "Treatises of Successes"). The result of this thesis is then an analysis of development and changes of mutual images, upon the historical events of the Spanish-Dutch war conflict: thus since the beginnings of the Dutch Revolt, passing through the Twelve Years' Truce, until the signature of the Peace of Westphalia in 1648. A special emphasis is put to the final phase of the Eighty Years' War, in this thesis delimited by the years 1621-1648, which was marked by the official entrance of the West India Company into the Spanish waters of Greater Caribbean. This thesis was devoted to the topic FARC-EP Fuerzas armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia - Ejército del Pueblo (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - People's Army). The first part surveys the history of the guerrilla organization from its beginnings to the present. As the beginning of the Colombian guerrilla groups is considered Colombia's La Violencia civil war between 1948-1958 which was caused by disagreements between liberal and conservative party. FARC-EP incurred as a rural guerrilla movement of the Communist Party fraction, and they followed the Marxist doctrine. However, the communist ideals were nowadays replaced by the desire for more power and finance. The historical part of this work was therefore also dedicated to find answers to what is the organizational structure of the FARC, what is the origin of their financing and what are their current targets. In the second part of the thesis the media covering the period from 1st January 2002 to 31st August 2010 was analyzed. This period begins seven months before the onset of ex-president Alvaro Uribe Velez to the presidency after Andres Pastrana and ends one month after the onset of the new president Juan Manuel Santos.
