Flight planning and performing according meteorological forecasts
Zapletal, Jan ; Hammer, Jaromír (referee) ; Krška, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with meteorological elements and phenomena with respect to aviation. It focuses on sources from which it is possible to obtain the necessary forecasts and weather information, both in flight planning and execution. The author, as a competition pilot, performs an analysis of specific flights, during which he had the opportunity to evaluate and compare the quality of weather information from various sources and their implications for sports performance.

The impact of storm electricity on air transport
Fiala, Ľuboš ; Imriš, Pavel (referee) ; Krška, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis aims to clarify the issue of storm electricity as the side effect of cumulonimbus. It describes formation, types, structure, and phases of storm clouds, as well as formation of electric discharge and rare electrometeors. Furthermore, it is focused on the ways of forecast and lightning localisation and their effects on air transport, along with given regulations during flight in storms.

Fogs and runway visual range at the airport Brno-Tuřany
Tarasovičová, Nikola ; Třetina, Karel (referee) ; Krška, Karel (advisor)
This thesis deals with visibility and runway visual range, their messages in different meteorological reports, the methods of determining and phenomena, which worsen them. It focuses on fogs as the main cause of low visibility and discusses their origin, division and their impact on air traffic. Particular attention is paid to ways of determining visibility and runway visual range at the airport Brno-Tuřany and fogs at this airport. This thesis contains the results of statistical processing of fog in wind speed and direction and synoptic conditions, during the cold term of 2008/09 to 2012/13.

Aviation meteorological data
Tarasovičová, Nikola ; Krška, Karel (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This master thesis emphasizes the importance of aviation meteorological data for flight planning and for making inflight strategic decisions. It describes conventional ways of obtaining meteorological data before and during the flight. It provides the overview of alternative ways of acquiring weather related information. The master thesis compares how hazardous meteorological phenomena - thunderstorms, turbulence and icing - are displayed within the described commercial products.

Thunderstorms occurrence in the Czech Republic
Kovář, Jan ; Krška, Karel (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on storm situations in the Czech Republic and their occurrence in the period 1961-2020. It analyses the conditions of occurrence and appearance of thunderstorms and describes the storm activity at Karlovy Vary, Prague-Ruzyně, Brno-Tuřany and Ostrava-Mošnov airports in the period between 2001-2020. Marginal mention is made of the phenomena accompanying the storm, conditions of its passage and methods of detection.
