Deconvolution of hemodynamic response from fMRI data
Bartoň, Marek ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Havlíček, Martin (advisor)
This paper deals with the variability of HRF, which may have crucial impact on outcomes of fMRI neuronal activation detection in some cases. There are three methods described - averaging, regression deconvolution and biconjugate gradient method - which provide HRF shape estimation. In frame of simulations regression method, which uses B-spline curves of 4-th order for window length of 30 s, was chosen as the most robust method. Deconvolution estimates was used as HRF models for classic analyse of fMRI data, concretely visual oddball paradigm, via general linear model. Enlargement of localizated areas was observed and after expert consultation with scientific employees from neurology clinic, outcomes was evaluated as relevant. Furthermore Matlab application, which provides confortable observation of HRF variability among brain areas, was made.
Detached house
Šenovský, Josef ; Hlavsa, Petr (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The project solvesthe technical documentation of thefamily house, partly with basement, in the village Horní Lhota. The building is located on sloping terrain. Ground plan of house has a shape of two rectangles with two double pitched roofs. In the basement the reis the technical back ground of the house and hobby room. In the 1st floor is taking place all activities of inhabitants and the atticis designed as a quiet, relaxing area with sanitary facilities.
Interactive Java applet used for 3D optic nerve head visualization
Šikl, Jaroslav ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Peter, Roman (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design and implement the interactive Java applet used for topography 3D optic nerve head visualization. Primary purpose of the 3D vizualization is ophthalmology, especially for diagnosis of glaucoma. More over should serve as a training material, which enables to study the transformation of 2D figures to 3D model and to test the effects of adjustments and regulations to imaging of the model in 3D space. Two program versions were designed in this work using the development system NetBeans version 5.5. Their final realization is implemented as .html application working in web browser window. First version of the designed applet is simple intuitive application with several default settings, so that the figure is opened automatically to 3D model. Subsequently, the applet enables to set the size of the image, 3D depth of the image, smoothing of the surface and selection of monochrome or coloured image. The second version is the extension of the first version of the designed applet, and provides the possibility to display x, y, z axis, depiction of the 3D model surface by dots, curves or grid, and illumination of the surface. Software was tested on available topographic data acquired by HRT equipment and in different web browsers. Technical documentation and user’s manual are also involved in this thesis.
Features for the analysis and classification of cells in holographic microscope images
Navrátilová, Markéta ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Vičar, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with features used for analysis and classification of cell images captured by holographic microscope. Distinctive features are described together with tools for their classification. Features are extracted on provided segmented cells with use of Matlab programming environment. Based on extracted features the cells are classified by SVM classificator. With use of clustering methods and dimensionality reduction different cell types are analyzed. Reliabity of each feature is tested.
Kindergarten in Novy Jicin
Stančík, Adam ; Vlach, František (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Single-storey C-shaped building of kindergarten in Nový Jičín with flat green roof. The building is situated on the flat land. The plot is accessible by local road. Kindergarted has irregular plan. The ends are connected by connecting tunnel, which is partly below ground level. Courtyard facade is a vertical garden - green facade.
Image Registration - Application in ophthalmology and ultrasonography
Harabiš, Vratislav ; Matula,, Petr (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Image registration is widely used in clinical practice. However image registration and its~evaluation is still challenging especially with regards to new possibilities of various modalities. One of these areas is contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging. The time-dependent image contrast, low signal-to-noise ratio and specific speckle pattern make preprocessing and image registration difficult. In this thesis a method for registration of images in ultrasound contrast-enhanced sequences is proposed. The method is based on automatic fragmentation into image subsequences in which the images with similar characteristics are registered. The new evaluation method based on comparison of perfusion model is proposed. Registration and evaluation method was tested on a flow phantom and real patient data and compared with a standard methods proposed i literature. The second part of this thesis contains examples of application of image registration in~ophthalmology and proposition for its improvement. In this area the image registration methods are widely used, especially landmark based image registration method. In this thesis methods for landmark detection and its correspondence estimation are proposed.
Detection of the nerve fibres in ophthalmologic images
Urbánek, Dušan ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis deals with detection of the retinal nerve fiber layer in gray level retinal images taken by fundus camera. The first part describes a physiology of human eye and glaucoma disease. Then, the use of wavelet transform and algorithm of texture analysis applied for texture analysis. Next chapters describe theory of texture analysis named „Gray level run length matrices“ and its application for detection of the nerve fiber layer. Applications of this method are described for three types of retinal tissues and for whole image. The last chapter describes gray levels around optic disc and results obtained from parameters from GLRL matrices.
Identification of vertebrae type in CT data by machine learning methods
Matoušková, Barbora ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Chmelík, Jiří (advisor)
Identification of vertebrae type by machine learning is an important task to facilitate the work of medical doctors. This task is embarrassed by many factors. First, a spinal CT imagining is usually performed on patiens with pathologies such as lesions, tumors, kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis or patients with various implants that cause artifacts in the images. Furthermore, the neighboring vertebraes are very similar which also complicates this task. This paper deals with already segmented vertebrae classification into cervical, thoracic and lumbar groups. Support vector machines (SVM) and convolutional neural networks (CNN) AlexNet and VGG16 are used for classification. The results are compared in the conclusion.
Experimental ultrasonic measurement using LabView
Baše, Michal ; Jiřík, Radovan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with ultrasonic field, measurement of its attenuation and measurement using LabVIEW. There are explained basic parameters of ultrasonic transducers and the ultrasonic field. Two methods for measuring ultrasonic attenuation and modification of the second one were proposed. There are introduced two programs in the LabVIEW for attenuation measurement, first one generates continual signal, which is brought to transducer and second one generates pulse of a few periods of sine. At the end there are showed produce of measurement using these programs.
