Minimal Representation of the Božetěchova Complex
Král, Tomáš ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The document describes developing graphical application with limited size. It describes suitable techniques for a polygonal mesh's compression. The second part is focused on practical usage of this techniques for developing scene in 3D modeling environment and also describes how to transfer this model to the executable file. The work attends to optimalizations of source code compilation and executables compression at the final chapters.
e-Learning System in the Education of Mathematical Disciplines
Pánik, Tomáš ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
Nowadays, mathematics is an elementary study area. A person who has not encountered it is hard to find. However, students often loathe mathematics and are afraid of it. Goal of this term project is to design and analyze software for mathematics education for elementary school, middle school, and high school students. We describe the motivation behind the software and its functionality. The software will be used solely for self-study. We attempt to create software which would ensure that students are not afraid of mathematics and that they enjoy their studies.
Simple Mobile and Web App for Organizing Meetings
Fašánková, Erika ; Škandera, Juraj (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a web application, the purpose of which will be to manage the queue of people. The application will help to better organize the people waiting for their turn and save them a lot of time, as they can enroll to the queue before arriving at the place. The application, developed using the Django framework and the PostgreSQL database and other technologies, is located on Heroku. The web application is responsive and thus adapted to mobile devices or tablets. The user creates the queue - "traffic light" and sees a list of people enrolled in the queue on his administration page. You can end or open enrolling to queue, or call next person waiting in queue. People who want to join the queue already know, how many people are waiting for their turn. After join, they have the ability to control their position, which is updated without having to refresh the page. The content of the bachelor thesis is acquaintance with the principle of web application development, existing solutions to a similar problem, the design of the application Organize Semaphore, the technologies used and the implementation of the application.
Outdoor Activity Manager
Kmeť, Dušan ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The goal of bachelor thesis is to implement the information system for the administration of activities and weekend actions.System is able to create programs for training by merging the activities. System has efective user interface reflecting frequent actions.
Recognition of Weather in an Outdoor Stationary Camera View
Jenčo, Michal ; Juránková, Markéta (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with classification of weather from stationary outdoor camera images with a landscape view. It classifies fog, clear, partly cloudy and overcast weather in particular. The problem was solved by computing five image flags and using machine learning. Hit rate of 95% was achieved with only small variances between weather types. The main finding of this work is that it is possible to successfully differentiate between the selected weather types with the chosen set of simple image flags. The implementation of this system enables plotting a graph of weather progression during a chosen day.
Set Game for Android
Vlach, Antonín ; Bartl, Vojtěch (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to create an adaptation of card game Set for Android devices. The application should be easy to use. Another purpose of the application is to help beginner users with understanding the game rules. The outcome is a native Android application using simple material design. The main part is a time game. There is also explanation of rules with some graphical examples. Tutorial mode provides more difficulty levels helping beginners to master the game. One game takes about 3-10 minutes (depending on players skills), therefore the game is good to make some boredom more pleasant (e.g. waiting for public transport).
Detection and Recognition of Traffic Signs
Vránsky, Radovan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about different methods of detection and recognition of traffic signs in pictures. The introduction several of these methods are described and their use is demonstrated. In the next part of the thesis, the implementation of the detection and recognition of traffic signs with the use of Support Vector Machine is described in detail. It also describes the method of creating of the dataset or different models describing this dataset. In the conclusion the method is evaluated.
Graphics Intro 64kB Using OpenGL
Minařík, Antonín ; Matýšek, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with creating a graphics intro, which's size has to be below 64~kB. Described and used techniques includes: Phong reflection model, fog, skybox, generating textures from noise and shadow mapping. Intro is placed in a city and techniques of generating elements of the city are described. In addition, there are described methods for reducing file size and system for camera animation.
Optical Localization of Very Distant Targets in Multicamera Systems
Bednařík, Jan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This work presents a system for semi-autonomous optical localization of distant moving targets using multiple positionable cameras. The cameras were calibrated and stationed using custom designed calibration targets and methodology with the objective to alleviate the main sources of errors which were pinpointed in thorough precision analysis. The detection of the target is performed manually, while the visual tracking is automatic and it utilizes two state-of-the-art approaches. The estimation of the target location in 3-space is based on multi-view triangulation working with noisy measurements. A basic setup consisting of two camera units was tested against static targets and a moving terrestrial target, and the precision of the location estimation was compared to the theoretical model. The modularity and portability of the system allows fast deployment in a wide range of scenarios including perimeter monitoring or early threat detection in defense systems, as well as air traffic control in public space.
