Leszkow, David ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Hamouzová, Dita (referee)
Author: David Leszkow Title: Case study of physiotherapy care for patient diagnosed with peripheral facial palsy. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to write down theoretical basis related to the diagnosis of peripheral facial palsy. The second part of this thesis is case study of one patient with Bell's palsy. Methods: Soft tissue techniques, Jebavá's approach, Kenny's method, Kabat's method. Results: Patient's right facial side muscular strength improved and at the same time resting facial expressions were restored. There was an increase in the resting muscle tone of the right side, thus removing the lagophthalmos and the sagging corner of the mouth. Conclusion: Thanks to the use of the above methods, the patient was rehabilitated to almost full muscle strength and functionality of the right side of the face, at the rest and also with active muscle involvement. Title: Case study of physioterapy treatment of a patient after hemoragic stroke with left hemiparesis. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to obtain academic findings about stroke concerning anatomy, pathology, therapetuic approaches and methods which can be utilised in cases of stroke. The specific part focuses on the therapeutic care of a patient after hemorragic stroke which was taken during a month practice at Regional hospital Kladno Spa Summary: The theory of the thesis discusses anatomy and pathology of human brain in terms of strokes. There is a brief mention of ischemic strokes and a detailed elaboration on hemorraghic strokes. Furthemore, the same part of the thesis epitomizes the risk factors and diagnosis of strokes. There is also a detailed treatise on the physioterapeutic care of stroke. The practice of the thesis introduces a case study of physioterapy treatment of a patient after hemoragic stroke with left hemiparesis. Keywords: Stroke, hemoragic stroke, hemiparesis, physiotherapeutic technique and methods.

Case Study of physiotherapy care for a patient diagnosed with peripheral facial palsy
Pekařová, Monika ; Hassmannová, Kristina (advisor) ; Hamouzová, Dita (referee)
Thesis title: Case Study of physiotherapy care for a patient diagnosed with peripheral facial palsy Author: Monika Pekařová Advisor: Mgr. Kristina Hassmannová Aim of the thesis: This bachelor thesis contains a summary of expert knowledge about peripheral nerve palsy and a case study of a patient with this diagnosis. Theoretical part covers anatomical and neurophysiological context, etiology, epidemiology and treatment options. The practical part has been carried out during internship at the Kladno Regional hospital from 26. 1. 2021 until 23. 2. 2021. It consists of an entry clinical examination, short-term and long-term therapeutical plan and daily therapy record. The therapy was concluded by a final kinesiological examination and an evaluation of therapy effect. The ten therapeutical sessions contributed to facial muscles strengthening by 3-4 grades, reduction of swelling and elimination of pathological symptoms. I do believe that the prognosis of the patient for a full recovery is optimistic. Keywords: facial nerve, peripheral palsy, facial palsy, physiotherapy, Bell's palsy
