Evolutionary models for evaluation of organisms relationship
Gregorová, Kateřina ; Maděránková, Denisa (referee) ; Škutková, Helena (advisor)
The work is focused on the study and description of evolutionary models for the evaluation of the evolutionary distances of DNA sequences and protein sequences in the amino acids and the codon representation. In the framework of this work was created a program that evaluates the genetic distance between DNA sequences and protein sequences for the use of some evolutionary models. The program calculates the genetic distance of the compared sequences and on the basis thereof renders the phylogenetic tree. This can be relatively easily and quickly evaluate the affinity of the organisms. For easy operation is part of the evaluation program also graphical user interface (GUI).
Statistical Analysis of Anomalies in Sensor Data
Gregorová, Kateřina ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the failure mode detection of aircraft engines. The main approach to the detection is searching for anomalies in the sensor data. In order to get a comprehensive idea of the system and the particular sensors, the description of the whole system, namely the aircraft engine HTF7000 as well as the description of the sensors, are dealt with at the beginning of the thesis. A proposal of the anomaly detection algorithm based on three different detection methods is discussed in the second chapter. The above-mentioned methods are SVM (Support Vector Machine), K-means a ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average). The implementation of the algorithm including graphical user interface proposal are elaborated on in the next part of the thesis. Finally, statistical analysis of the results, the comparison of efficiency particular models and the discussion of outputs of the proposed algorithm can be found at the end of the thesis.
Suppression of power-line interference in ECG signals
Gregorová, Kateřina ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Kozumplík, Jiří (advisor)
This work includes an overview of the different methods of filtering of ECG signals that suppress the network interference. It focuses on the parameters that affect the quality of filtration for the three main groups of filters: FIR, IIR and adaptive filters. The main objective is to evaluate proposed methods in terms of the quality of filtration. This quality is rated an average output SNR, standard deviation and time filtering. The criteria of success is based on the filtration of the basic requirements on digital filters. Design of filter is realized in the Matlab programming environment.
Multiple sentence as a style marker of academic prose: analysis of sentences composed of five and more finite clauses
Gregorová, Kateřina ; Dušková, Libuše (advisor) ; Malá, Markéta (referee)
The purpose of this study is to analyse the occurrence of multiple sentences in a technical text as a style marker. This work is supposed to be a continuation of a research previously done by Cerny (1998) and Pohickovci (2000), both of whom aimed at proving the appearance of complex and compound sentences as a style marker. We will focus on multiple sentences comprising at least five finite clauses (clauses containing at least five finite verb forms) in technical (academic) texts, and compare our findings with the results of the study by Polcickovci (2000). Polcickovci compared two types of texts - literary and technical. In our paper we will compare our results with those concerning the technical writings. In this paper we will be dealing with four samples of academic prose, and we will analyse the frequency, structure and characteristics of multiple sentences comprising at least five finite clauses found in each text. The reason for such a comparison is to prove that the frequency of multiple sentences comprising at least five clauses is supposed to be similar in all four texts, since they are all considered as technical texts. The work is divided into two parts. The first part contains theoretical preliminaries, the second the description of the research itself. The sample sentences (excerpts) with...
Drug-induced dysbalance of potassium.
Gregorová, Kateřina ; Herink, Josef (advisor) ; Pourová, Jana (referee)
Kateřina Gregorová, Drug-induced dysbalance of potassium, The diploma thesis, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, diploma thesis tutor: Doc. MUDr. Josef Herink, DrSc., Hradec Králové, 2011, 65 pages This diploma thesis called "Drug-induced dysbalance of potassium" focuses on the homeostasis of potassium, disorder of potassium homeostasis - potassium retention and hyperkalemia, potassium depletion and hypokalemia. The diploma thesis gives an overview of hyperkalemia and hypokalemia induced by drugs and their treatment options. Drugs are divided into several groups according to the mechanism of these dysbalance. Key words: potassium - hyperkalemia - hypokalemia
