Modelling and Analysis of Campus Network at the BUT
Kojecký, Vladimír ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Grégr, Matěj (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of tools for creating a computer network simulation model. Network analysis is based on configuration files from connected network devices. According to the requirements of the simulation it is necessary in the configuration file to focus on data relating to the monitored elements and their properties, or which may be of some influence. The output is then passed on simulation environment to form the desired network model by the observed data, which is already possible to perform simulations.
Detection and Isolation of Attackers Using Neflow Data
Grégr, Matěj ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with using NetFlow records for detection network scanning. Anonymized NetFlow records from backbone VUT network are used as the source. Based on statistics created from these records, several Bash and Python scripts are implemented. With these scripts it is possible to detect network scanning even in large academics networks.
On-Line Documentation for Configuration of Active Network Devices
Bašti, Martin ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Podermański, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create on-line documentation for network devices configuration, which will make network administrators' work easier by removing problems with various structure and quality of documentation from manufacturers. Documentation will use free wiki system, which allows simple editation of content and colaboration of more users. Process of choosing the best system will be described in thesis. Also we analyse structure of documentation and description of configuration possibilities, so that documentation allows quick and simple searching of required information.
Cryptocurrencies Blockchain Analysis
Očenáš, Martin ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis describes important existing cryptocurrencies and their basis principles. Especially it describes differences between this cryptocurrencies and theid basis principles. Also describes posibilites for analysis of Bitcoin blockchain. Next part describes improvments of tool for blockchain analysis. Futher it describes cryptocurrency analyzing tool, and it's implemented extensions.
Detection of Brute-Force Password Attack in Network Traffic
Hurta, Marek ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is aimed at monitoring of computer networks using IP flows. It describes NEMEA framework which is used for creating modules. These modules are able to detect network anomalies and attacks. Next part describes a few methods how SSH, RDP and Telnet protocols could be attacked. Following chapters analyze some types of attacks such as Dictionary or Brute-Force attack and tries to find their common characteristics. Based on this analysis, signature of attack is created. Proposed detection algorithm uses these signatures for computing detection thresholds which are used in histogram analysis. Finally, results of proposed detection algorithm are compared with the results from other known methods.
Annotation of NetFlow Data from Perspective of Network Security
Kadletz, Lukáš ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Žádník, Martin (advisor)
This thesis describes design and implementation of application for offline NetFlow data annotation from perspective of network security. In this thesis is explained the NetFlow architecture in detail along with methods for security incidents detection in the captured data. The application design is based on analysis of manual annotation and supported by several UML diagrams. The Nemea system is used for detecting security events and Warden system as a source of information about reported security incidents on the network. The application uses technologies such as PHP 5, Nette framework, jQuery library and Bootstrap framework. The CESNET association provided NetFlow data for testing the application. The result of this thesis could be used for analysis and annotation of NetFlow data. Resulting data set could be used to verify proper functionality of detection tools.
Automated Testing of Flowmon Products
Hromádka, Petr ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is about testing of Flowmon products: Flowmon collector and Flowmon ADS. The goal is to implement frameworks for automatic testing of Flowmon tools. Beginning is about theory of testing. In next parts are dedicated to description of Flowmon tools and draft of testing frameworks.
Medical Software for Accounting
Pohl, Ondřej ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Grégr, Matěj (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is an extension of medical software OpenDositech. Implementation of interface for communication with portals of insurance companies is extension into OpenDositech program. In the first part available medical softwares are described together with API for sending. The thesis next deals with the Portal of insurance companies. At the end the thesis describes implementation of the API into OpenDositech program.
Port Block Allocation for Network Address Translation
LAN Security Monitoring
Grégr, Matěj ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with security in LAN networks and monitoring security and availability of selected ports. The thesis gives a brief overview of the LAN attacks, defense techniques that are used to prevent them and port scanning techniques. In the practical part of my thesis I have implemented the set of functions collected in library. These functions are ready to be used for testing of ports availability and analysis of open services. The implementation is realized in C language, Libnet and Pcap libraries and bash scipts and the web control panel is implemented in HTML and PHP.
