Dvořák, Zdeněk ; Puskely, Jan (referee) ; Nováček, Zdeněk (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis of Current distribution on linear antennas is concerned about possibilities of measuring current distribution on antenna. There is also close peak on measuring principles with help of measuring loop. Current in the loop is inducted in continual proportion to magnetic induction, which is inducted by the current distributed on antenna conductor in proximity of measuring loop. There are also described important parameters of antenna, which can be got from current distribution. This thesis discusses about the method of measure with the sonde in more detail. The expanded program DISTRIB helps to process measured values. This program is modified specially for short and long antennas. There is enclosed the projected submission of laboratory exercise, an exemplary protocol and sinusoidal regression calculation, which is used by the computer program.

Structural aspects of graph coloring
Pekárek, Jakub ; Dvořák, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Esperet, Louis (referee) ; Zhu, Xuding (referee)
In this thesis, we study the structural and algorithmic properties of graphs embedded or represented in surfaces and with constraints on their faces or cycles. We derive tools to quantify properties of embedded flows and use these to design an algorithm to decide the extendability of a precoloring of the boundary cycles of near- quadrangulations of the cylinder. We then develop methods to reduce 3-coloring of triangle- free graphs embedded in the torus to 3-coloring near-quadrangulations, obtaining prac- tical algorithms for deciding 3-colorability in linear time, and obtaining a 3-coloring in quadratic time. We also investigate connection between geometric graph representations and the in- duced odd cycle packing number (iocp) parameter. We show that wide variety of rep- resentable graphs exhibit limited iocp and show that graphs with limited iocp are χ- bounded. We derive an EPTAS for maximum independent set of graphs with limited iocp and linear independence number, as well as QPTAS assuming only limited iocp. 1
Clinically relevant anatomical variations in the hand and forearm
Kunc, Vojtěch ; Kachlík, David (advisor) ; Stingl, Josef (referee) ; Dvořák, Zdeněk (referee)
There is undoubtful importance of the knowledge of anatomical variations during surgical procedures and diagnostic in the upper limb. They can not only confuse surgeon during the surgical approach and lead to iatrogenic damage or be misdiagnosed for pathological conditions, but they might also be used during reconstructive procedures as tendon transfers, nerve grafts or free flaps. It is even hypothesized that superficial anatomical variations might be used to predict the variable course of deeper structure. Many of those hypotheses still need experimental verification as they are often used in clinical practice without proper evidence. Anatomical variability includes all structures such as bones, ligaments, muscles, nerves, vessels as well as superficial palmar creases. Each of these structures might be divided, multiplied or absent; they can differ in their origin, insertion, course, or branching. In some cases even completely accessory bony or muscular structures might be present. The goal of this dissertation is to provide review of the anatomical variability of the hand and forearm with particular interest given to accessory bones around the elbow joint. We proposed their radiological definition, proposed a new classification, and stated their overall prevalence, which is 0.77 % with the most...
Application of pedestrian evacuation and fire spreading models for specific buildings safety improvement
Okřinová, Petra ; Hromada, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Apeltauer, Tomáš (advisor)
The current trend in the construction industry is construction “without limits”. In projects and implementations, we encounter non-traditional combinations of operational solutions, geometry and materials, which are still approached mainly using the classic standards from the fire safety point of view. The latter does not allow to comprehensively cover all aspects of these specific buildings without a greater degree of subjective simplification. This raises the question of whether, even in these cases, it is still appropriate and safe to use only a standards approach, or whether buildings deviating from traditional construction should be assessed differently – for example, by so-called fire analysis using numerical models. Currently, users still have very little information about the use of these models, and even in the Czech legislation, there is no document recommending how to proceed when using them for the purposes of building fire safety solutions. Numerical models of evacuation and fire analysis are thus currently the most effective tool for impact analysis and preliminary verification of the effectiveness of proposed safety measures. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with their validation and use, with the goal of innovating existing approaches and standardizing numerical models for fire safety assessment of buildings. Furthermore, it is necessary to compare their possibilities and limitations concerning ČSN and to put together a comprehensive information background as a basis for their more active implementation in practice. The presented work thus focuses on the above-mentioned issue and demonstrates its use of application examples of real specific buildings and a set of compiled studies. The work also points out specific shortcomings and simplifications of standard approach methods, based on which verified procedures and recommendations for the incorporation and use of numerical models in fire safety practice are then established.
Coloring triangle-free graphs on the torus
Urmanov, Eldar ; Dvořák, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Šámal, Robert (referee)
Pekárek and Dvořák (2021) proposed a linear-time algorithm to decide 3-colorability of triangle-free graphs drawn on the torus. We implemented this algorithm efficiently and evaluated its performance on a natural class of graphs. Pekárek and Dvořák (2021) popsali algoritmus rozhodující 3-obarvitelnost grafu bez trojúhelníků nakreslených na toru v lineárním čase. Tato práce popisuje efektivní implementaci algoritmu a vyhodnocení jejího výkonu na přirozené tridě grafů. 1
Computational complexity in graph theory
Doucha, Martin ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořák, Zdeněk (referee)
This work introduces two new parameterizations of graph problems generalizing vertex cover which fill part of the space between vertex cover and clique width in the hierarchy of graf parameterizations. We also study parameterized complexity of Hamiltonian path and cycle, vertex coloring, precoloring extension and equitable coloring parameterized by these two parameterizations. With the exception of precoloring extension which is W[1]-hard in one case, all the other problems listed above are tractable for both parameterizations. The boundary between tractability and intractability of these problems can therefore be moved closer to parameterization by clique width.
