Design Study of VFR Airport
Brandejský, Petr ; Veselý, Petr (referee) ; Ptáček, Pavel (advisor)
The final master´s thesis targets to create concept study of VFR airport. This airport should be build up in southeast part of Czech republic, in the vicinity of the town Valašské Klobouky. In this work there are explained essential terms and definitions refered to basic rules and law. There are explained also civil aviation law and requirements of L14 regulations. Aeroclub is submitter of this work. It establishes basic conditions for airport area searching. The length of the runway is influenced mainly by performance of used aircrafts. It was impossible to find any acceptable field in searched area. There is a posibility how to solve this problem. There can be build up a runway for take-off and landings of small aeroplanes. In the second part of this thesis there are defined basic requirements on these fields. These requirements are applicated on chosen field. At the end of this thesis there is propounded an option how to dislocate runway, taxiways, aprons, hangars and other buildings.

UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE FAKULTA TĚLESNÉ VÝCHOVY A SPORTU The effect of physical activity and nutrition interventions on physical fitness and quality of life during the first year after kidney transplantation Abstract of disertation Zpracovala: Mgr. Klára Švagrová Školitel: Prof. Ing. Václav Bunc, CSc. Školící pracoviště: Laboratoř sportovní motoriky Praha, 2012 ABSTRACT Kidney transplantation is the best known treatment of chronic kidney failure. However, it is often accompanied by a number of health complications. The transplantation itself positively affects both physical fitness and quality of life during the first year after the transplant surgery which are seriously diminished when compared to the healthy population. This improvement can be even enhanced by appropriate physical activity and nutrition interventions otherwise both the physical fitness and quality of life would start declining after the first post-transplant year again. The aim of this study was to confirm a positive effect of a long-term physical activity and nutrition interventions on health-related physical fitness and health-related quality of life in a representative sample of individuals in the first year after the kidney transplantation. At the same time it was fundamental to verify that the experimental trial can be...
The effect of MCT on endurance performance
Holá, Kateřina ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Brandejský, Petr (referee)
MCT oils are triglycerides whose fatty acids have an aliphatic tail of 6-12 carbon atoms. Within the gastrointestinal tract, MCT are digested to their respective fatty acids (MCFAs) and rapidly absorbed and transported into the portal vein which then takes them straight to the liver, therefore MCTs are not stored in fat deposits in the body as much as LCTs. In addition, MCTs can pass through the mitochondrial membrane of the liver and muscle not depending on the carnitine transporter, what makes them a very readily available source of energy. Endurance athletes try to maximize their ability to mantain glycogen stores during exercise, so that using these supplements as a quick source of energy should lead to improved endurance performance. The aim of the work is to provide a more objective view of the prevailing trends and different conclusions of particular scientific studies and to clarify the impact of MCT on sport endurance performance. The work includes meta-analysis based on data collection method from previously published scientific studies following the use of MCTs in relation to sport endurance performance. Medical database PubMed and multidisciplinary databases EBSCO and Google Scholar were used to search for these studies. The meta-analysis does not show any specific effect of MCTs...
Nutrition for endurance runners
Kochová, Nikola ; Vilikus, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Brandejský, Petr (referee)
Topic of my bachelor thesis is Nutrition for endurance runners. Generally, relation between nutrition and sport activities is very popular current topic. I am an active long- distance runner myself; therefore people often ask me what the right nutrition for athletes should consist of and what might possibly cause negative effects. This thesis was divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The first one is structured from general information through specification of terms endurance and nutrition to detailed description of individual components of nutrition. The second part consists of evaluation of long-distance runners' nourishment by NutriPro software, specialized tool for nutrition therapists. The main goal of this thesis is to discover potential differences between performance and recreational long-distance runners. There were some hypotheses determined according to this goal, especially those referring to presumable higher intake of most nutrition components by performance runners in comparison to recreational ones. As a result of quantitative research, I can confirm that there is definitely difference in intake of individual nutrition components between performance and recreational runners because both groups have different needs as far as their energy income is concerned. Key...

Adherence to remedial physical education among women of middle and older age.
Hyťhová, Petra ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Brandejský, Petr (referee)
Title: Adherence to remedial physical education among women of middle and older age Aim: To deliver a complex review of the exercise adherence issue. To confirm relationship among selected factors and exercise adherence using questionnaire rnethod in a group of regularly active women and to identify reasons of their long-term participation in a group remedial physical education. Method: 165 women, members of the Kardia dub, who regularly participated on remedial physical education classes, were involved in the study, question-form data were suitable in 130 cases. To provide subjective evaluation of physical activity, Czech version of the Intemational Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ, short version) was distributed; to identify the level of extroversion, the Eysenck Personality lnventory (EPI-B) was applied, and to discover motivation factors influencing the physical activity adherence, the author of the Graduation Theses compiled a non-standardized questionnaire. Attendance data from January to December 2007 (except Joly and August) were the fundamental part of the adherence level objective evaluation. Results and conclusions: The Graduation Theses refers to the most significant factors, which influence the long-term adherence to remedial physical education. The results demonstrate positive...
