Study of dielectric relaxation in PCB substrates and cable insulation
Ježík, Jan ; Brzobohatý, Jaromír (referee) ; Běťák, Petr (advisor)
This study investigates relaxation polarization in some dielectric components of tester UNISPOT S40 developed by company UNITES Systems a.s. Relaxation polarization in the PCB substrates and in tester’s cable insulation causes undesirable deceleration of some test steps. Relaxation polarization in selected PCB substrates and various cables are examined by method of dielectric relaxation spectroscopy in the frequency domain and by measurement of polarization or depolarization current.
Modelling and Design of the IC`s ESD Protection Structures
Běťák, Petr ; Sládek,, Petr (referee) ; Bartoň,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Musil, Vladislav (advisor)
The thesis introduces new semiconductor structures that are used as protections against Electrostatic Discharge occuring in integrated circuits. The fundamental structure for modeling and simulation has been lateral Silicon Controlled Rectifier. This SCR structure has been modificated to enable tuning of the triggering and holding voltages by changing geometrical mask dimensions. On the base of modeling and simulation the new proposed structures have been published. Also several protection structures have been designed to be manufactured and measured on a testchip. The final electrical behavior has been verified by measurement. Finally, the focus has been aided to protection circuit with bipolar transistor. This approach has been also simulated and verified by measurement. Advantages and disadvantages of the proposed protection structures are commented in the thesis.
Future trends of the specific semiconductor components utilization
Chocholáč, Jan ; Kosina, Petr (referee) ; Běťák, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with discrete components such as Multiplexers and Sample-and-Hold. The central objective of this work is to provide a description of how the components work, to outline a survey of their construction design, and to define the relations between the product series. By the help of graphic diagrams, various aspects of difference and comparison related to the manufacturers are specified in order to complement the main analysis.
Graphical internet tool for displaying results of electronic circuit's simulations
Šafář, Viktor ; Běťák, Petr (referee) ; Kadlec, Jaroslav (advisor)
A web-based interface for displaying results of electronic circuit's simulations provides students and other potential users an easy-accessible web application, which is able to display electronic circuit's simulations results.
Control system for temperature stabilization
Malý, Pavel ; Běťák, Petr (referee) ; Kadlec, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is engaged in problems, programming and proposal of Control system for temperature stabilization of any system. Main condition is using the Peltier´s component and microcontroller. Principle consists in setting of temperatures by user controls and operating of Peltier´s component thought MOSFET semiconductors. This MOSFET´s are designed to an H-bridge. We regulate power of Peltier´s component by the H-bridge. Main part of the circuit is microcontroller from ATMEL. This is called ATmega16. It’s programmed by ISP (In System Programming) property of microcontroller, which is necessary for programming of microcontrollers in applications. All measured and controlled values will be showed on the LCD display and should by supply by the 5V power source.
Study of the factors that influence setting time during current measurement.
Ježík, Jan ; Macháň, Ladislav (referee) ; Běťák, Petr (advisor)
This study is engaged in the effect of dielectric relaxation on very small direct current setting time after applying voltage of 600 V. Several relaxation phenomenons in dielectric materials stressed by electric field are discussed. Characteristics of three substrates of PCBs are evaluated by using time and frequency domain dielectric relaxation spectroscopy in order to find an optimal material for high speed tester UNISPOT S40 ACCEL construction.
