The theoretical part discusses the concepts of helping profession, personal and qualification skills and competences of nurse profession. Furthemore, the difficulties of the profession are desribed, such as helper syndrome, burnout and sorrorigenie (patient's psychosomatic damage caused by nurse). Self- knowledge is important for the nurse's self-conception and positive self-evaluation. The practical part includes the results of qualitative survey aimed at nurse self- conception. The research was conducted using semi-structured interviews processed by means of phenomenological description, open coding and triangulation.

Definition and comparison of the term art-therapy and the newly introduced term of art-philetics

Cílem této diplomové práce je seznámit čtenáře blížeji s termíny arteterapie a artefiletika. Uvést, co mají oba pojmy společné, a v čem se od sebe odlišují. Nečiníme si nárok na kompletní uchopení dané problematiky, spíše se jedná o jistý nástin, který by mohl sloužit coby inspirace dalšímu zkoumání. Rozlišovat oba pojmy se nám jeví jako vysoce žádoucí, a to zejména z důvodu, že artefiletika, jako specifické 8 pojetí výchovy uměním s převažujícím zájmem o výtvarný projev, je praktikována v pedagogicko- výchovných zařízeních. Těmi, kdo vedou artefiletická setkání, jsou učitelé a jiní pedagogičtí pracovníci. Na poli vzdělávacího procesu není dostatek prostoru pro práci s osobními problémy účastníků, pro terapeutické zásahy. Navíc pedagogičtí pracovníci k takovýmto intervencím nemají často kromě časových i prostorových možností ani patřičnou erudici, osobnostní předpoklady či zkušenosti. Proto se nám jeví jako nežádoucí vnášet čisté arteterapeutické metody do vzdělávacího procesu, a to z důvodu, že by potenciální vynořující se problematická témata nemusela být dostatečně zpracována. Výchovně-vzdělávací proces má svá specifika, jim je nutno se přizpůsobit. Na druhou stranu ale vzdát se plně možnosti využívat výtvarné umění jako prostředku osobního vyjádření či seberozvoje, se nám jeví jako zbytečné a nežádoucí....

The main pillar of the thesis is a qualitative research on the stress acting on the nurses and their coping strategies. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part deals with theoretical knowledge about death and dying, comunication with the dying, care of the dying and care of the dead body. There are also coverd issues of euthanasia, assisted suicide and living will. Prakctical part analyzes the outcome of a quantitative research, concerning the perception of death by General Nursing students. The research was carried out using a questionnaire survey within students in 1st and 3rd year of General Nursing studies. There were set three goals, all of wich were achieved. Interesting outcome was, that respondents with fear of death prevailed only in 1st year of the studies, in 3rd year they represented a minority. Outcome of the research can be used in pedagogy, paliative care and for further research.
