This thesis aims to compile and evaluate six monocriteria and one multi-criteria ranking in the meat processing industry. These rankings are primarily focused on the needs of smaller potential investors and their purpose is to facilitate their investment decisions and to recommend the most appropriate investment opportunity. In the theoretical part is analyzed the concept of ranking and other related concepts. In addition, there are described the interests of individual ranking users and briefly introduced the most well-known rankings. The content of the methodological part are particular steps in the process of compiling ranking and their subsequent detailed analysis including a brief theoretical interpretation of the selected methods of financial analysis. To contribute a better reporting ability to one of the implementation steps is included an expert opinion reflecting the specifics of the selected industry. In the practical part is applied the described steps and the rankings are compiled and evaluated. The recommended investment opportunity is LE & CO - Ing. Jiří Lenc, s.r.o.

Coffeehouse business plan

The aim of this diploma thesis is to prepare a business plan for the establishment of a coffeehouse connected with a coworking center. The task of this business plan is to check the feasibility and financial cost of the project and be used as a basis for the real establishment of the enterprise. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts related to entrepreneurship, individual parts of the business plan and issues related to coworking centers. The practical part includes the business plan itself. Attention is paid mainly to the description of business opportunities, competition analysis, business environment analysis, marketing and financial plan, and threat and opportunity analysis. In conclusion, the whole work is evaluated, the fulfillment of the given goal and the recommendation for the founder.

IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 and impacts of their implementation on financial performance of a company

This diploma thesis focuses on new accounting standards IFRS 15 and IFRS 16. The aim is to examine how their implementation can affect financial performance of a company. Financial indicators reflecting these impacts are chosen based on identification of key methodical changes. The problem is described on the example of O2 Czech Republic a. s. By performing an impact analysis based on 2016 figures and currently available product and service offering, possible differences between company's results of 2016 and hypothetical results of the same year when using IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 are quantified. Finally, impacts on company's financial performance are interpreted in the context of chosen financial indicators.

The aim of this master's thesis is to estimate objectified value of the company Crocodille ČR, spol. s.r.o. for the needs of management and owners by the date 31st of December 2015 for the purposes of identifying value-creation factors from the point of view of the competitiveness of the company. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part describes the key concepts related to the valuation of company as well as process of valuation. The practical part contains a introduction of the company, strategical analysis, analysis and prognosis of value drivers, financial plan and finally valuation of the company based on revenue methods FCFF and EVA.

Changes in corporate governance regarding private law recodification

The primary aim of this thesis is to conduct a comparative analysis of the former and the current private law regulations concerning governance of joint-stock companies. What this thesis mainly focuses on are practical impacts of the change and problematic areas which are uncertain to interpret. This work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical application. The former deals with the definition of the term corporate governance, theoretical bases of corporate governance and governance models and theories. In the latter the most fundamental changes brought by the recodification are taken into consideration, these being the possibility of choice between monistic and dualistic corporate governance systems, adaptation to the new regulations and the changes regarding the statutory representative. In this section, the thesis comments on the terms due care and and business judgement rule.

Business valuation based on strategic analysis

The goal of the Masters thesis is to evaluate the company BENET AUTOMOTIVE s.r.o. based on strategic analysis of the market from the perspective of an external valuator. Selected company operates in the automotive field as a supplier for the automotive industry. First chapter is dedicated to methodology basis that is used in practical part of the thesis. At the beginning of the second chapter is a short presentation of the company. Further there is strategic analysis of the market, that is done through the analysis of macro and micro environment. Next there is the financial analysis which consists of absolute indicators, ratios, DuPont analysis, balance rules and default models. Furthermore, value drivers are calculated. Based on the the value drivers the financial plan is determined. Business valuation is done in the last part with DCF method.

Valuation of company Lesní společnost Broumov Holding, a. s.

The aim of this master thesis is to estimate the value of the company Lesní společnost Broumov Holding, a. s. as of the valuation date 01/01/2016. The thesis consists of two main parts, theoretically-methodological and related practical part. For accomplishing the objective, the strategical and financial analysis were made, also the main generators of the value were identified and scheduled and the financial plan was composed. The valuation itself was realized by three different methods that were afterwards calculated together which resulted into final estimation of the company's value, that reaches 147 024 thousand Czech crowns. The thesis is usable as a full overview of the company's situation and may be also helpful to the owners as a base for price negotiations, in case of potential investor's interest in buying it.

Strategic analysis of the firm Budweiser Budvar, n.p.

The subject of my thesis is creation of strategic analysis of the firm Budweiser Budvar. The objective is a review and appraisal of the companys past development, its current position on the market and lastly to recommend appropriate strategies to help the company achieve lasting economic growth and to gain stronger position in brewery industry. In teoretical part are described problems of strategy, strategic management and methods which are used for appraisal of strategic analysis. Subsequently in practical part there were used these methods under external analysis which are focused on appraisal of external environment of the company and also under internal analysis which are focused on appraisal of internal environment of the company. SWOT analysis was later created to convert information attained from the companys external and internal assessment. To conclude, my thesis intent is to create a strategic plan that would help Budweiser Budvar achieve lasting economic growth.

Valuation Fortuna Entertainment Group NV

This thesis focuses on the valuation of the Fortuna Entertainment Group NV, which is leader in sports betting market in central Europe. Analyzing, describing and predicting methods are used for determination the adequate corporate value. The master´s thesis defines theoretical framework, which is a starting point for finding the value of the company. The basic used methods include PESTLE analysis describing factors, which affects Fortuna externally, Porter´s five forces analysis characterizing internal factors, financial analysis capturing financial condition and financial plan created as support for the valuation. For the valuation purposes author assumes functioning of the group based on going concern principle, therefore the yield methods, specifically DCF entity, are used. Using the identified assumptions and methods in this thesis the value of the group at 31th December 2014 is established. The calculated value of the Fortuna exceeds market value resulting from market capitalization. This fact is presumably caused by different level of information used for each of these methods.

Design of corporate performance monitoring system in selected organization

Goal of thesis is to design a corporate performance monitoring and controlling system which will allow implementation of corporate vision and strategy. Thesis focuses on selected company which specializes on development and implementation of web platforms. Method utilized to design corporate performance monitoring and controlling system is Balanced Scorecard. Strategy has been analysed using PESTLE and SWOT analysis. Structure and operations have been thoroughly analysed, as well as financial stability of the company. Strategy has been organized and linked with causal relations in a strategic map. Financial analysis of company has been utilized to verify availability of funding required for implementation of the Balanced Scorecard concept.
