TITLE: The impact of metabolic parameters on cognitive functions in bipolar patients treated with mood stabilizers. OBJECTIVE: Cognitive impairment in euthymic phase of bipolar disorder has been documented in many studies. There are several contributing factors exerting detrimental effect to such an impairment, e.g. sedative medication, thyreopathy. Cardiometabolic rick factors constitute another frequent condition found in bipolar disorder and exerting probably adverse impact on cognition. Since this condition is treatable and current literature suggests possible connection with cognitive dysfunction, this study aimed to explore such associations to identify promising targets of complex treatment. METHODS: Forty euthymic bipolar patients were enrolled into a prospective one-year study. Patients underwent the examination in the beginning of the study and one year after. Their body and metabolic parameters were measured. Medical history data were collected. Cognition was evaluated using battery of tests. Neuropsychological performance was transformed into neurocognitive composite score. Cognition of subjects was compared dichotomously according to presence or absence of pathological body and metabolic parameters. Correlations of selected parameters and composite score were done. Dosage errors in psychiatrically diagnosed patients

Title of Thesis: Dosage errors in psychiatrically diagnosed patients The aim was to capture, evaluate and statistically process the pharmaceutical misconduct of the psychiatrically ill patients. From the available documentation (D-courses), I analysed the complete drug therapies for 137 patients (59 males and 78 females) hospitalized in The Psychiatric hospital in Opava, 29.10. -1.11.2013, which was approx 15,75% of the total amount of patients. Patients were diagnosed according to ICD-10 disease according to F00- F69 and G20, G308. All patients were logged polypharmacotherapy, where each patient was treated with 2 or more drugs, the maximum quantity of drugs per person was 12. On average, the amount of drugs per patient was 6.4. The most commonly represented by the drugs belonged to antipsychotics. Used antipsychotic medications have the potential to cause a number of adverse effects as extrapyramidal symptoms, QT-interval, hyperprolactinaemia and induction of metabolic syndrome. V roce 1992 byly založeny pokusy, které měly ověřit, zda vypalování, kosení a odstraňování drnů jako tradiční typy managementu západoevropských vřesovišť povedou k obnově a zmlazení vřesovišť v NPR Podyjí. Dále bylo v roce 2000 založeno 30 nových ploch na studium vlivu pastvy a kosení. Od roku 2000 je také sledována dynamika mikrobiálních transformací dusíků v půdě, rychlost rozkladu opadu a efektivita využití N a P rostlinami. V roce 2001 byly na vřesoviště naistalovány srážkoměry.

Pokusy mají za cíl otestovat některé metody managementu vřesovišť: vypalování, pokosení drnů, pastvu. V této vegetační sezóně bylo sledováno celkem 38 trvalých ploch na vřesovištích v NP Podyjí. Od r. 2000 je také sledována dynamika mikrobiálních transformací dusíku v půdě, rychlost rozkladu opadu a efektivita využití N a P rostlinami.

Environmental Taxes - Ecological Tax Reform in the CR

This thesis focuses on environmental taxes and their gradual introduction in the Czech Republic within the ecological tax reform. The work mentions the history of environmental policy in the European Union, implementation and harmonization processes in the whole community in the area of ecology. Briefly touches on the objectives and principles of environmental protection that the European Union has set out the current environmental taxes and charges in the individual Member States. Among EU countries, details the history of the introduction of environmental taxes in Denmark and Sweden. The work is a general view of the reform in the country. Her appreciation and potential impacts of reform.
