Suková, Anna ; Skálová, Jana (advisor) ; Singerová, Jana (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the accounting category deferred tax in the Czech accounting legislation. The theoretical part summarizes current knowledge of deferred tax issue. Interpreted are terms such as current and deferred tax, permanent and temporary difference. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the historical development of the deferred tax, methods of determination, the most common reasons leading to its creation, calculation, accounting, inventory and reporting in the financial statements. In the practical part, the deferred tax analyzes is carried out in the financial statements of selected companies. The aim of this thesis is to create a comprehensive source of information on this issue.
Role of the segment 400-500 in biological activity of Bordetella pertussis adenylate cyclase toxin
Suková, Anna ; Mašín, Jiří (advisor) ; Krůšek, Jan (referee)
The adenylate cyclase toxin-hemolysin (CyaA) plays a key role in virulence of the whooping cough agent Bordetella pertussis. It translocates an AC enzyme into cytosol of CD11b+ phagocytes and subverts their bactericidal functions by unregulated conversion of ATP to cAMP. In parallel, CyaA permeabilizes cellular membrane by forming cation-selective pores. The goal of my diploma thesis was an analysis of the mechanism of interaction of the segment linking the invasive adenylate cyclase domain and the RTX hemolysin moiety of CyaA with target membrane. Our data show that the segment linking the AC to the hydrophobic domain of CyaA is directly involved in the interaction of the toxin with the membrane and controls the formation of small cationt-selective pores. Our results generate new knowledge that will be of relevance to the entire field of toxin biology and will enable the design of improved CyaA- based vaccines. Keywords: Bordetella pertussis, adenylate cyclase toxin, membrane translocation, pore- forming activity, black lipid bilayers, liposomes
Structure and function of bacterial pore-forming toxins
Suková, Anna ; Mašín, Jiří (advisor) ; Vopálenská, Irena (referee)
The pore-forming bacterial toxins are crutial virulence factors of pathogenic bacteria. Their essential feature is the capacity to form hydrophilic transmembrane pores in cytoplasmic membrane of target cells. It leads to impairment of osmotic balance which can result in cell lysis. These toxins use different mechanism of cell attack. However, there is few similar steps - membrane binding, insertion into membrane, oligomerization and forming of the transmembrane pore. Keywords: bacterial pore-forming toxins, mechanism of membrane insertion, cholesterol-dependent cytolysins, α-toxin, aerolysin, α-hemolysin, adenylate-cyclase toxin
THE TRANSFORMATIONSOF THE RELATION BETWEEN AND READER AND BOOK IN THE YEARS 1990-2009
Suková, Anna ; Halada, Jan (advisor) ; Prázová, Irena (referee)
Bachelor thesis "The Transformations of the Relation between a Reader and a Book in the Years 1990-2009" aims to describe and clarify the development of book reading in the Czech Republic from post-revolution years to the present days with an extension to the 80s. Mapping of this subject-matter is based on an analysis of a range of readers' surveys which addressed the relation between a reader and a book, reading habits, behavior on the book market, libraries, preferred literary genres and authors etc. This thesis covers all these aspects. It also deals with international researches of reading literacy among teenagers (PISA). In the beginning it offers several readers typologies in search of the most suitable definition of a reader. It treats the significance of the book for human society and explains the changes on the book market since the fall of the communist regime. Then it characterizes sociological research and its requirements as well as its possible limits and deficiencies. The most extensive chapter describes individual readers' surveys, from information about how they were carried out to their most important findings which are then put into context. To conclude the thesis compares essential data from these researches and their selected results. It also proposes key trends in reading and...
