Conceptual design of high performance glider with electric propulsion (in complience with EASA CS-22)
Hlůšek, Josef ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Hlinka, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis is focused on conceptual design of glider with electric propulsion system following the CS-22 regulation. Statistical analysis of the glider with an auxiliary electric engine has been carried out in order to determine basic design parameters for conceptual design. Based on analytical drag polar, the flight performance parameters are calculated, in particular flight range and influence of the solar panels on the flight range. This thesis also includes preliminary design solution of accumulator placement within the wing.
Flight performance of the STOL light sport airplane
Koudelka, Jaroslav ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Juračka, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate effect of individual parts of the selected aircraft on its aerodynamic characteristics and to summarize possible directions of aircraft modifications with taking into account increasing its cruising speed while maintaining STOL performances. The first part of this thesis is focused on the description of selected aircraft construction and its legislative categorization. Then follows the theoretical part describing the basic terms of horizontal flight mechanics, the creation of drag and drag types. The practical part contains the evaluation of the drag influence for individual aircraft parts, their possible directions of improving and the final summary how the modified parts influence flight performances. In conclusion they are results comparing the original aircraft configuration with the modified one with taking cruising speed into account. For the modified version there is an evaluation of its impact on the STOL performances.
ATC (ICAO) procedures valid for aircraft transits or departures the European airspace under the RVSM conditions
Pulgret, Lukáš ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis occupies development of air navigation method and is focused at area navigation RNAV and it utilization in RVSM European air space. Installation of RVSM allows to fully and effectively use the capacity of European air space. Publication describes essence of particular navigation methods and inform about technical ruquirements which are necessary to observe requirements of safety minimums. Other part describe procedures which have to be comply by pilots during flights from and into RVSM European air space. The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to briefly describe problematice of area navigation RNAV and RVSM. Explain principles and inform about contribution of mentioned projects. This publication is intended for students of degree programme professional pilot and Aeronautical traffic.
Survey & comparison of operation principles of the existing kinds of GNSS
Pafkovič, Roman ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Vosecký, Slavomír (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with global navigation satellite systems. It gathers information about operation principles of individual systems and evaluates their applicability for Air transportation through own measures.
Selection of an economical aircraft for flights abroad
Fried, Kristián ; Imriš, Pavel (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with finding the economically most appropriate aircraft for flights from Czech Republic abroad. The beginning part discusses an overview of aircrafts, available for rent in Czech republic. Describes the financial demands for particular types of aircraft, in regard to their cruising speed, time based fuel consumption and rental cost. Thesis then discusses ground preparations for VFR flight from Czech republic to Venice, applying the economically most appropriate aircraft from previous part. The thesis finishes by making a cost evaluation of the whole trip and offers a nicely uderstandable procedure for finding a financialy viable aircraft for flights abroad.
Planning of optimal VFR routes from the Czech Republic to the Republic of Estonia
Belák, Richard ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
Main goal of this bachelor’s thesis was to make ground preparations for two cross-country flights to the Estonian Republic with fully loaded airplane Cessna 172SP while maintaining VFR. First part includes description of aircraft and its flight instruments. The main emphasis is put on compliance with flight safety and the legislation of states where the flight takes place. The next section describes the individual routes with airports and limited spaces. The last part deals with the financial demands of both flights.
Design of anchor for general aviation aircraft
Buchta, Adam ; Löffelmann, František (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
Aim of my bychelor’s thesis is to, based on existing anchoring instruments from aviation industry and other fields, design an anchoring instrument, that would exceed or improve qualities of existing anchors in some way. Another ralated aim is to understand the working mechanism of such anchoring systems and also work out a procedure of testing of ground anchors.
ATO Operations Manual - Technical section
Novák, Michal ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor’s thesis is to clarify requirements for different types of training with respect to operational documentation of ATO and according to these requirements then compile technical part of operational manual ATO in the terms of Institute of Aerospace Engineering BUT.
Design of a device enabling the reconnection of a glider to a towing aircraft
Ryba, Filip ; Löffelmann, František (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a two-part system for connecting a glider and a towing aircraft in the air. The theoretical part deals with a summary of the principles of glider functions and an analysis of the reconnection attempt. The practical part discusses the proposed parts of the concepts that could fulfil the function and their combination forms into a final design solution. The solution is displayed in the drawing documentation and verified by manual and FEM calculations.
Use of Aeronautical Technology for Forest Fire Control in the Czech Republic
Sklenář, Filip ; Hammer, Jaromír (referee) ; Imriš, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare several types of patrol and firefighting airplanes based on their operational, technical and economical characteristics. The thesis also includes an analysis of their particular parameters and description of their specifications in respect to fire protection. The outcome of this thesis is evaluation of the most proper airplane for patrolling and firefighting.
