Hotel with wellness

The topic of this thesis is a new-building of a hotel with a wellness centre. The building site is located in the cadastral area of Malenovice near Zlín, the city of Zlín, Zlín Region. It is the building consisting of three rectangles inserted into each other. The building is designed as a six-floor skeletal construction with a cellar made of reinforced concrete, roofed with flat roofs. In the first floor there is a reception, a restaurant with outside seating, wellness centre, and utility rooms. The second and the third floor are intended for accommodation of guests in the form of double rooms and apartments. In the fourth and fifth floors there are double rooms as well. Rooms for guests and apartments are situated to the southern and northern part. This residential space is mostly equipped with balconies stretching along the corners. In the last, sixth floor there can be found the management of the hotel, a conference room and a bar with terrace. The main entrance is situated to the northern part of the object. Outdoor parking places are also a part of the hotel. Exterior and interior of the hotel are designed in the conformity with current modern trends. The layout of the space is functional and basic. The dynamics of the building is supported by external holes in black colour and by the two-coloured facade in blue and grey colours. The hotel is meant for both active and passive relaxation, there is a possibility of accommodation of young couples, families with children, elderly people, individuals, and people with limited ability of movement. The hotel of designed with the focus on the comfort of guests. Therefore the leisure time space is a part of hotel. The comfortable space for relaxation within the object is provided by the wellness centre mentioned above, the bar with terrace, and an outdoor swimming pool. Virtually any construction project in our climate zone is facing some form of moisture. Older and historical buildings are mostly affected by the negative impact of water. Previously, the additional reduction of the moisture was executed only by mechanical methods, pushing insulating sheets or breaking through and cutting of masonry. Over time chemical methods were also invented, which are compared to the mechanical considerably simpler and user friendly applications to statics of treated buildings, making them ideal for the treatment of historical buildings or buildings that would not bear significant disruption. The main principle of chemical methods of redevelopment of wet masonry is the application of special material into the line of drilled holes with a given pitch. Subsequent penetration of the grouting material is believed to intersect an arc of individual drill holes, and thus to create so-called grout curtain that prevents the accumulation of water above it. Injection material may also contain a proportion of secondary raw materials, thereby reducing the influence of the impact of production on the environment. Efficiency infusion materials in masonry affected by many factors, such as temperature, humidity, or the type of material treated. It is also an important factor to determine the effectiveness of the remediation of the material, proving its ability to penetrate the building material by identifying its presence in it.
Mechanical durability of waterproofing membranes against elements of waterproofing membrane construction protection

Waterproofing membranes are one of the most commonly used waterproofing insulation materials. These can be found both in assemblies of roof constructions and substructures and are a key component for waterproofing systems. During design process it is necessary to select materials, elements and accessories so that mutual compatibility, waterproof effectiveness and reliability is ensured. In order to protect the main waterproofing layer a composition is therefore completed with construction protection elements, which are meant to prevent from a mechanical damage of waterproofing membrane. Mechanical stress and damage may become evident in variety of situations, which can be caused externally not only as an inappropriate ground bashing procedure but also as a consequence of improper waterproofing construction protection. In practice there are many cases of waterproofing system failures due to stress of elements with higher mechanical durability which affect elements with lower mechanical durability. The dissertation deals with an application of dimpled membranes protected by the layer of waterproofing membranes, which may due to stress and mutual compatibility result in waterproofing system failure and waterproofing reliability decrease. The dissertation is focused on mechanical durability of waterproofing membranes made of folio and modified bitumen membrane against damage from dimple membrane depending on stress category. First, possible waterproofing membrane damage from dimple extrusion is calculated and evaluated. The next part deals with verifying by experiment based on an effect of long-term static stress and short-term dynamic stress caused by ground bashing, where a measurement of ground bashing stress is performed. Experiment interpretation and an acquired knowledge provided the dissertation with an information what combination and order of particular layers results in higher risk of waterproofing system failure and waterproofing reliability decrease
Detached house with a surgery

This bachelor thesis processes the design documentation of a newly-built detached house with a doctor’s surgery, which is situated on the outskirts of a village Přečkovice located in the Zlin region. The floor plan of the structure has the L-shape and is partly below ground level. It is divided into two parts. The first part serves as an office (a surgery), the second one is a living area. The living area has two above-ground floors. The structure is based on strip foundations. The vertical load-bearing structures are composed of the Porotherm system and in contact with the soil there are concrete blocks for permanent formwork of Livetherm. The horizontal load-bearing structures constitute the cast-in-place reinforced concrete floors.
The Renovation of the Main station in Brno

This thesis deals with restoration and repurposing of main train station building in Brno. It consists of Building permit documentation and part of Documentation for execution of the project, both of which are based on architectonic study created as part of course AG33 - Architectural Design Studio III. during previous studies. The building is situated in Brno city centre, district Brno – Střed, cadastral area (municipality of) Město Brno (610003). The project assumes that the main train station will be moved ca 800 meters to the south, leaving the current train station building unused. The project incorporates a conceptual study of a new purpose for the historic building and nearby railway junction, including its interconnection with near surroundings. Detailed solution describes a new hotel building, which will replace current newest wing of the train station. The main idea of the transformation is to keep as much of the historic building and valuable structures as possible, avoid increasing the building footprint and bring new life to the building and city centre. The attractiveness of the site will be enhanced by a new park located in the area currently occupied by the railway junction. The park will be connected to the 2nd floor of the Tesco shopping centre and Vaňkovka shopping gallery by a pedestrian bridge. Parking capacity will be provided by a new underground car park built below the railway junction. Additionally, modern version of the original tower above the main hall, which was destroyed during World War II, will be built. The new hotel building, as well as all repairs and changes (new tower) will follow a modern style, while respecting and enhancing the historic Art Nouveau building and genius loci of the place.

The subject of this these the proces of building technical od desingn documentation for the realization of a newly-built detached house with a cafe in Havlíčkův Brod. The building is slightly sloping terrain and is with partial basement. Living area have got two above- ground floor and basement. Whole part is roofing gable roof with roof slope 30° with concrete tiles. In the second part is single-storey building a cafe is roofing flat green roof with slope 3°.The garage is separate with flat green roof. Vertical loadbearing structures above ground are made of Porotherm system, external walls of the basement are made of prefabricated concrete shuttering blocks. Horizontal structures are designed as a monolithic reinforced concrete slab. Part of the external wall finish are made of silicone plaster and part of it consists of ventilated facade with wood cladding.
Renovation and extension of detached house

The bachelor thesis elaborates project documentation for construction of a family house in Nemile, located in the Olomouc Region. This is a construction and extension of an existing family house. The house has two residential floors with a partial basement. There is one apartment unit in it. Construction of a family house is carried out in the form of restoration of plaster, flooring, facade systems, replacement of windows, doors, technical background of the building and other systems. The existing ground plan of the basement and the first floor will be preserved in its entirety by an additional building, the second floor will be altered in its entirety. The shape of the ground plan of the building will be altered in the form of an extension of the residential zone (dining room and living room kitchen), then an extension of the shed for two vehicles will be built. Vertical support structures are made of Porotherm 30 Profi ceramic brick technology with EPS GreyWall contact system. Base structures of monolithic concrete. Horizontal constructions are made from the Porotherm MIAKO system. A roof made up of a flat roof at the extension of a residential area and a shelter for vehicles and above the existing parts of the house is used a new built-in roof panel system made of structural wood. The design emphasized increased comfort in use and the overall modern concept of a family house building. A preferred family home is a heating system with an air / water heat pump with underfloor heating. The designed house of a family house meets the standards of modern living and tries to solve the issue of quality housing both in terms of economic and ecological energy management and the sustainability of the standard of living and the life of the building without the necessity of adaptation. Detached house Slunečná

The bachelor thesis deals with design and elaboration of project documentation for a family house, which is located in the cadastral area of Dobrá Voda u Českých Budějovic. The building is a two-storey building with a basement and a garage for two vehicles, which is part of the 1st floor. The building is designed for housing of four to fivemember families. The construction system of vertical supporting structures is made of brick masonry, complemented by reinforced concrete ceilings. Windows and doors in the building are wooden. The peripheral wall in the second floor is made as ventilated facade with combined grate an ETICS thermal insulation system and facade wood. In the basement of the building is located infrasauna and the necessary background. The roof of the building is a pair of flat vegetation roofs. The bachelor thesis is elaborated in the form of project documentation for the execution of the construction.

This bachelor thesis concerns project of apartment building in Olomouc. On the north side there is a joined shield roof with neighbouring family house. There are 2 floors and 8 apartments in the apartment building in total. 4 apartments are located on the 1st floor and 4 apartments are on the 2nd floor. The building is desig-ned from construction system made of ceramic fittings and part of the foundation is made of hidden formwork. The ceilings are assembled from ceramic fittings. The bearing part of the sloping roof is made of wooden trusses. Project documentation for construction work is part of the thesis.

The thesis deals with design of brewery Hoppy Friends, situated in Moravská Třebová. The building is designed with 3 floors and is a basement. On the basement is lager cellar with coolbox. On the first floor is a brewery with grain storage, visitor center, brewery facility, boiler room and a shop. On the second floor are offices and laboratories. The brewery building is designed from a masonry systém with a ventilated facade with wooden and aluminium lining, foundation on strip foundation with warm flat roof.
