Práce popisuje jak pozitivní vlivy těchto technologií na společnost, tak negativní vlivy, které přináší.
Cephalopods and biostratigraphy of North Bohemian Jurassic sediments
Hrbek, Jan ; Košťák, Martin (advisor) ; Ziegler, Václav (referee)
The Jurassic ammonites from the Northern Bohemia has been revised on the base of the material stored in the National Museum in Prague and the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. 23 species and 19 genera, belonging to 7 families were described on the basis of this systematical revision. This ammonite assemblage indicates a proportional occurence of the Boreal, Tethyan and also cosmopolitan taxa. Stratigraphically important taxa suggest a considerably longer period of sedimentation, predominantly represented by the Upper Jurassic carbonates. This interval may contain up to 9 ammonite zones. A pilot microfacial analysis of carbonates from Peškova stráň area (in Krásná Lípa vicinity) indicates a considerably higher variability of sedimentation area. The presence of micritic carbonates suggests the existence of a widespread areas in the Late Jurassic sea covering the Bohemian Massif. The biostratigraphy and palaeogeography is briefly discussed in the European Late Jurassic context. Key words: ammonites, Upper Jurassic, Northern Bohemia, carbonate sediments, biostratigraphy, palaeogeography
Films based on the world well-known criminal cases: from reality, paper and TV news to feature films and film reviews.
Hrbek, Jan ; Novotný, David Jan (advisor) ; Šobr, Michal (referee)
The thesis focuses on two criminal cases and their film renditions. The thesis intentionally focuses not only on the activities that got them to court but their personal lives as well. Those are especially important to the part of the text that focuses on the film renditions of their lives. The movies, American Gangster and Blow are being dissected based on the dramaturgical decisions, the narrative and the praise they have been given by journalists and general public.

Jurrasic calcareous nannoplankton from the northern Bohemia
Martincová, Anna ; Holcová, Katarína (advisor) ; Hrbek, Jan (referee)
Bachelor thesis summarizes the current knowledge of the Jurassic calcareous nanoplankton in relation to areas of northern Bohemia as a literary review. Work chracterize calcareous nannofossil in term of life cycle, ecology and points to its considerable importance for biostratigraphy. Work also describes the Jurassic sediments of the Bohemian Massif and the development of communities in the Jurassic calcareous nannofossils. Part of this work is a summary of the Jurassic expansion of calcareous nannofossils in Europe and creation of his survey through a table. The work also suggests the possibility of using calcareous nannofossils for specification biostratigraphy of northern Bohemia.

Current status of the Karlovy Vary Region's spas and prospects of its development
HRBEK, Jan
This thesis shows complete historical and current development of balneology in Karlovy Vary Region. Thesis is designed to reflect a distinct difference in balneology in history and at the present time, complemented by pictures as the annexes contents. I'm mainly going to focus on the comparison of treatments, leisure activities, spa locations, accommodation, transportation, history and spa development opportunities. Namely, I am going to discuss Karlovy Vary, Jáchymov, Mariánské Lázně, Františkovy Lázně, Lázně Kynžvart and Kyselka spa. These spas are in a poor state currently and thus aren't in use for spa purposes at the moment. On the contrary Aš town wants to build a new spa in the Doubrava village. Results related to this research are meant to enrich yet undiscovered balneology possibilities in Karlovy Vary region.
