The Image of Partisan in Czechoslovak Society 1945-1948

The bachelor thesis (work) The Image of Partisan in Czechoslovak Society 1945 - 1948 based on study of contemporary press shows the way the partisan movement was presented in Czechoslovak public space. The work introduces the development of the media image of partisan in the press during the early post-war years. It describes, when the type of guerrilla fighter as a representative of the antifascist resistance occured, who this presentation Czechslovak resistance advocated most, and if it was at the expense of other forms of resistance activities. The focus of the work is the analysis of main source of the problems of formating post-war media image of the partisan movement - weekly Partisan, in the years 1946, 1947 and early 1948. The qualitative analysis enabeled putting down the media image of partisan in weekly Partisan, its transformation through the time, and simultaneously the confrontation with some other post-war Czechoslovak periodicals. The contribution of this work is in the fact that it complements previous studies on the topic of the partisan movement of view of post-war contemporary press.
Political trials in Czechoslovakia - The Case "Zpěvačka"

This Master's thesis will look at the Political trials in Czechoslovakia - The case of "Zpěvačka", it will focus on one of the many politically motivated processes that took place in Czechoslovakia during the communist regime, i.e. 1948-1989. The focus of this paper is to analyse the key archival sources, which is now an investigation by the State Security in the case of "Zpěvačka", now stored in the Archive of Security Forces. The trial of the anti-state oriented group of people around Radana Melicharová who were accused of collaborating with foreign intelligence services took place in the spring of 1957. This shows that even the so-called foundation period of the communist regime, the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia continued to implement political processes to control the opposition. This thesis brings the main characters of the process Radana Melicharová et al., describes their illegal activities and analyses the motives of each participants on illegal activities. And also discusses about the main trial itself at the Regional Court in Prague, subsequent appeal trials and the efforts to rehabilitate convicts. Methodic handbook for conservtion of old landraces of herbaceous agricultural crops

The methodic handbook recommends management of basic cultivation practices for landraces of herbaceous crops in „on farm“ plantations. The materials were collected during field excursions of authors or gathered from germplasm collections. These materials have cultural-historical value and represent old habits and national identity of Czech inhabitants. Representative landraces were sellected for crop groups: Cereals, legumes, vegetables, condiments and medicinal plants.

International treaties in the area of ​​statutory duties on income from employment

This thesis deals with the comparison of treaties that prevent double taxation in the area of income taxes and bilateral treaties on social security. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic terms that are used in the following parts of the work. A substantial part of the thesis deals with procedures for the avoidance of double taxation in the area of income taxes, which are implemented through international agreements. The thesis also deals with the coordination of social security, which is implemented through bilateral treaties on social security and in European Union also through Regulation (EC) No 883/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the coordination of social security systems, which in the case of Member States of the European Union takes over the function of individual treaties. Result of the thesis is to compare the agreements for the avoidance of double taxation on income and capital and bilateral treaties on social security, especially compared to the number of contracts that the Czech Republic has concluded with other countries. Other points of comparison are the history of concluding these treaties, or the existence of model treaties or multilateral agreements.

The thesis is primarily focused on the procedure to calculate corporate payable tax on income. Given that the taxpayer is forced to rely on accounting profit, the objective of this thesis shows how the accounting and tax system interact each other and what impact does this linkage to determine corporate income tax. Part of this thesis is focused on a specific company, which is a limited company, and its tax implications of the distribution of profits and payment of rewards that accrue to shareholders and managers of the activities in the community.
Exemption from Personal Income Tax as a Factor in Formulating the Rate of Taxation in the EU Countries

In my diploma thesis on Exemption from personal income tax as a factor in formulating the rate of taxation in the EU countries are defined terms of tax expenditures and tax exemptions. The main objective of this work is the analysis of income exempted from personal income tax in the Czech Republic and the EU member states, with a focus on revenue social nature. In an analysis of exempted income in the Czech Republic are quantified tax expenditures associated with the exemption of social income of taxpayers. It is a comparative analysis of the exempted social income in EU member states, and I analyze the impact of exemption of social income tax rate of selected types of households with different levels of income.
Tax Reforms in Italy after Year 2000

This work describes particular tax reforms, which took place between years 2000 and 2011. Main aim of this thesis is to introduce changes, which have influanced and reformed tax system. Regresive analysis will be used for evaluation of reform's impact, where will be proved dependency or independency of tax income on macroeconomic indicators. Reforms will be also evaluated on development of gross domestic product and tax burden.
Comparison of environmental tax reform in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic

This thesis focuses on comparison of environmental taxes in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. In the theoretical part of the thesis is briefly stated purpose of environmental protection policy within the European Union, including the instruments that the state uses in this area, and characteristics of environmental taxes, including mentioning of the most important directive of these taxes. The theoretical part is followed by a practical part which compares environmental taxes in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic based on selected criteria, with reference to individual differences in Czech and Slovakian environmental taxes.
