The Theme of the Hounted House in Shirley Jackson´s Haunting of Hill House and Stephen King´s Black House

The bachelor thesis deals with the theme of the haunted house in two novels, namely The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson and Black House by Stephen King. The first part of this thesis describes the literary and historical context of the chosen theme. It focuses on the literary backgroung of the 18th and the 19th centuries, and also on the link between individual writers and their literary works. The next part of the thesis deals with the life and inspiration of Shirley Jackson and Stephen King. It pays a special attention to the haunted houses, their characteristic and their function in literature. The last part of the thesis concentrates on the interpretation of the stories of the main characters. It deals with their portraits and their contact with mystery and the supernatural.
Czech esoterics in the transformation of contemporary history

The main aim of this thesis is to contribute to the enlargement of the knowledge base about the crucial historic period of the -Velvet Revolution‖ and the subsequent transition period. The key sources were interviews with the professional and interest groups of active esoterics, performed using the oral history method. The text is also based on information from The National Archive, the Czech Television archive, the The Archive of Security Forces and relevant literature. Given the specific nature of this topic, this thesis reflects the impact of the new social order in the period after 1989 on the professional and private life of the selected sample of narrators and offers a view on the interaction between the witnesses and the state and the general public. Another aim of this research was to extend the existing knowledge about the esoteric scene in the period after 1989. Nevertheless, it does not aspire to provide a definitive list of various esoteric disciplines in the early transformation period. Additional topics concerning the socialist dictatorship are included to provide a comprehensive overview of the phenomenon. This part analyses the attitude of the communist ideology to esoterism. Analysis of the system of improvement proposals in a company and proposal of possible improvements.

The bachelor thesis deals with the system of improvement proposals in a certain manufacturing firm. The aim of this thesis was to acquire theoretical knowledge from the professional literature, comparison with practical knowledge and its implementation into the system of improvement proposals in the given company. The emphasis was put on simplification of the whole system with main accent on submissions of improvement proposals by the workers and subsequent evaluation and decision on acceptance or rejection of the proposals.
The Risk of Selection of Supplier

The Master’s thesis deals with the area of supplier management in a large multinational corporation focused on manufacturing and distribution of medical devices, which has a subsidiary in the Czech Republic. The thesis discusses the analysis of the current set up of supplier management in the facility and there are calculations for effective evaluation of suppliers being proposed on the basis of the analysis. The emphasis is also put on the setting of the system such that it provides the highest possible added value for its users, can be easily implemented in practice and is flexible as well.
The System of Process Audits for Medical Industry

The Master’s thesis deals with the area of conducting process audits in a large multinational corporation focused on manufacturing and distribution of medical devices, which has a subsidiary in the Czech Republic. The thesis discusses the analysis of the current set up of the internal audits‘ system in the corporation and there are changes of the quality system being proposed on the basis of the analysis, whose aim is to achieve a full compliance with the requirements of the US administration FDA, the standard ISO 13485 as well as the recent requirements on performing process audits. The emphasis is also put on the setting of the system such that it provides the highest possible added value for its users, can be easily implemented in practice and is flexible as well.
