Evolution of Prize Money for the first places in selected sports

Title: Evolution of Prize Money for the 1st places in selected sports Objectives: The main aim of this Master Thesis is to analyse evolution of prize money for winners in selected competitions and disciplines of golf, tennis, athletics and figure skating and prognosis of their evolution until 2020. Another goal is to compare the results of this prognosis and try to determine what influences the evolution. Methods: Methods used for prognosis of the future evolution are prognostic functions FORECAST and LOGLINTREND. Quality of prognosis is based on the Theil Index of Inequality. Trendline is also used to determine future evolution of the data. The correct trendline is chosen based on its reliability value. Results: Result of this theses is the discovery that prize money in history was progressively growing especially in traditional tournaments in tennis and golf. In younger series of competitions in figure skating and athletics prize money remained constant within the years. Prognosis suggests further increase in prize money in Grand Slam and Major tournaments and stagnation in Diamond League and ISU Grand Prix. Sport club HC Sparta Prague development prognoses

Title: Sport club HC Sparta Prague development prognoses Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to propose and draw up 3 possible prognoses of HC Sparta Prague financial situation development based on financial analysis of past years. Methods: In the first phase of the thesis a financial analysis from past 8 years is drawn up. The data required for the aforesaid analysis are gained from the analysis of the balance sheet, profit and loss account and financial ratios. The third phase deals with reconstruction of Taffler model for predicting bankruptcy. Based on the results of the financial analysis, 3 prognosis, namely optimistic, pessimistic and realistic are drawn up. The prognoses are drawn up using and taking into consideration the past development of profits and loss figures, as well as net income up to/till 2020. Modelling of the prognoses is carried out with the use of Forecast function in MS Excel. Results: The compared results of financial analysis and sports achievements have shown that the HC Sparta Prague financial situation develops depending on sports achievements of the extraleague team. Title: The system approach of the club AC Sparta Praha Objectives: Elaboration of financial analysis of the club AC Sparta Praha in season 2010/2011.Comparing the results of the financial analysis with the results of clubs FC Viktoria Plzeň and SK Slavia Praha. Methods: In the elaboration of the analysis have been used these methods: vertical analysis, horizontal analysis and analysis of the financial ratios. Title: Forecasting of the club Bohemians Praha 1905 Targets: Create financial analysis of the club and Cheb financial health of club. Then create SWOT analysis. Then create forecast of the club to year 2020. Methods: For calculation of financial analysis I used values from invidually annual reports and then I calculated values of indicators using literature. Then is applied SWOT analysis. For create forecasts I use application Microsoft Excel and function FORECAST. Application calculate values of future using past values. Results: Throught work was found that the club isn't financially healthy and has financial problems. Comparison of optical methods for characterization of glass mosaic weathering

The work presented in this paper is a part of research project supported by Ministry of Culture and devoted to conservation of precious mosaic of 'Last Judgement' on St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. The aim of the project is to enhance external protective polymeric coating on glass tesserae of mosaic and also to develop optical method for assessment of coating’s surface conditions. The paper concentrates on comparison of various methods for surface evaluation assesses their advantages and disadvantages and also discusses their suitability for long term monitoring of coating state, namely reflectometry, scanning probe microscopy, nanoindentation, white-light interferometry, and scanning electron microscopy. It is found that white-light interferometry and reflectometry methods are the most suitable ones for monitoring purposes.
Mechanics of laser cut stent grafts

This article is dedicated to a finite element analysis of tubular, laser cut stent grafts with peak-to peak bridge geometry under representative cyclic loading conditions for abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. Cardiovascular diseases are the principal cause of death in the developed world. For computational analysis, ANSYS software was employed to study the mechanical behavior of stents. Contrary to conventional engineering materials, nitinol stent fracture is not stress based but strain based. The effects of crimpling and cyclic pressure loading on stent–graft fatigue life were simulated and analyzed.
Fatigue testing and calculation of a conical pedicle screws for spine fusion

The main goal of spinal surgery is to stop the pain caused by joints that have worn out over time or degenerated due to disease. Spinal fusion joins together the vertebrae on either side of a joint in spine. Fixation with pedicle screws is one method which is used by surgeons for fusing the vertebrae in spine. Implants are subjected to many loading cycles during their life. Any damage to the implant leads to significant complications in the treatment and causes considerable pain. For this reason, it is necessary to pay close attention to testing and fatigue prediction of implants.
The influence of deformation of the frame of testing device on the accuracy of Brazilian test and indirect assessment of Young modulus

This article deals with determination of mechanical properties based on indirect measurements of brittle building materials like stones using portable device. Due to the fact, that the material samples may change their properties during transportation, it is preferred to test samples on site. For these reasons, portable testing device was developed. The testing machine operates on the split test principle. The device also shall to serve for estimation of other mechanical characteristics of the tested material, such as Young's modulus, compressive strength or flexural strength, etc. This paper concentrates on the effect of deformation of frame on the accuracy of indirect determination of mechanical properties.
Semiautomatic Surface Reflectance Measurement for Monitoring of Material Weathering

We present a device for measurement of surface reflectance in dependence on incidence angle and reflectance angle. This measurement enables us to quantitatively determine how much the surface is glossy or matt. The device is programmable, which enables us to choose non-equidistant steps of angles, and study special situations more in detail. It can be used for monitoring of material weathering or other types of degradation as weathering usually causes that the surface becomes more matt.
