Methodology Development and Validation of Software for Safety-Related Parts of Control Systems in Theater Technique
Drlík, Michal ; Suchánek, Rostislav (referee) ; Sinay, Juraj (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes what the theatre is and what types of machinery can be found there. Then the issue of stage technical machinery is presented into the czech context, respectively into the Europian legislation with the emphasis on the technical norms usage, which are necessary to fulfil in order to reach this aim. In the next part of the thesis is made the analysis of control systems, which are used in the stage technics with the emphasis on the functionality of these control systems, since this functionality determines number and range of possible danger and dangerous events, later on. These dangerous situations are named and specified in detail, thereby their existence, importance and necessity of solution is being emphasized. There is also a possible solution outlined that these dangerous events can be solved in many cases by using of these programmable systems relating to the safety, thereby safety functions realized by these functions. Then the single steps are described into V-model with appropriate documents of these V-model steps. Outcome of this thesis will be suggested model of method and its development and software validation for programmable and control systems in theatre technology.
Impact of Human Factor on Industrial Furnace Safety
Mukhametzianova, Leisan ; Sinay, Juraj (referee) ; Dohnal, Mirko (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
The presented doctoral thesis is focused on assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. Industrial furnaces are classified as machinery and belong to a group of industrial thermal equipment. The operation of industrial furnaces is burdened with the risks which the manufacturers and the furnace operators realize. The first part of the thesis presents an analysis of the current situation of legislation and scientific knowledges in the field of assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. In this part of the thesis the issue of human factor in other industrial branches: chemical industry, aviation and nuclear industry is also described. On the basis of conducted research the main aim of the thesis was established: preparation of a methodology for assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. Secondary targets were also listed. The second part deals with the assessment of risks connected with the operation of industrial furnaces and the assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. The furnace safety requirements, the process of furnaces risk assessment, the methods used for risk assessment and problems connected with the risk assessment are described. This part of the thesis explains the concept of human factor, presents a classification and description of the methods used for human reliability assessment, as well as the factors influencing the reliability of the operator. The third part of the thesis contains a proposed methodology for assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. Within the methodology performance shaping factors are stated, qualitative and quantitative assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces is made and the system integration of the knowledges into the developed methodology is proposed – qualitative model for improvement of system state. The methodology is further verified on a real equipment – a hardening furnace.

The possibility of the acquisition of competence as a prerequisite for effective risk management
Sinay, Juraj ; Vargová, Slavomíra
New approaches in the safety management systems in all of its forms require that every person was aware of this risk, with which he must live, both in the workplace as well as in daily life. It is important even at the stage where the man is the creator of the resources (e.g. machines, machinery, systems, sites) for use in various industrial technologies, i.e. has the ability to affect the risks already at the beginning of their technical life. Knowledge of the complex relations creates the essence for defining the risk and gives the presumption of effective solutions to the complex security of the enterprise. Experts in the field of risk management, therefore, must constantly educate themselves and thus expand their competencies for the area of risk management.
