The aim of this work is to demonstrate the possibilities of the SVG format and JavaScript in creating of interactive maps. The work is primarily focused on the creation of various elements of the digital interactive map. In the theoretical part of the work the attention is paid to the term of the interactive map and its integral components. The possibilities of use of both selected formats are described. The development of both formats and the way of their implementation are also mentioned. Other techniques used in the practical part are briefly listed. In the next part of the work the creation of the interactive map elements and the useability of the selected formats in practice are discussed and evaluated. The results are also demonstrated in the sample interactive map. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Topological control of selected data model using ModelBuilder and Python
Kučera, Martin ; Schneider, Michal (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
Topology control of the selected data model using ModelBuilder and Python Abstract The goal of this work is to characterize the Minimal digital elaboration standard for spatial planning in GIS (MINIS) globally and to create a control tool for the data based on this standard. In the first part of my work, some of the spatial planning standards used in the Czech republic are mentioned and MINIS is decribed in detail. In the second one, the creation process of the topology control tool in Python programming language is described. In conlusion, all the difficulties I had to overcome in this work as well as the offered solutions are discussed. The output of my work are the control script and a simple user's manual. Keywords: MINIS, Python, topology control
Spatial analysis of illegal migration in Czechia 2005-2007
Mahová, Eva ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Schneider, Michal (referee)
Spatial analysis of illegal migration in the Czech Republic 2005-2007 Abstract This thesis deals with the spatial analysis of illegal migration across so-called green border from the Czech Republic to Germany and Austria in 2005-2007. The main data set was acquired from Czech Alien Police Service and Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and contains also spatial component. For all places of detention various indicators characterizing geomorphology, landscape structure or distances from the closest routes, settlements and border checkpoints are computed. We can identify main aspects related to the choice to illegally cross state borders by merging the database of anonymous personal data of persons detained while illegally crossing the border and geographical data describing the nature of the place of detention. Keywords: illegal migration, GIS, Python, spatial analysis, correlation, regression

Online route planning with open-source applications
Matyáš, Jiří ; Schneider, Michal (advisor) ; Brůha, Lukáš (referee)
The goal of this work is to create a route planning web application while using open source tools and applications. In the beginning, tools used to produce such application are briefly introduced. The the process of creating the application is described. This paper describes the proces sof getting, editing and storing data used for route planning. The proces sof creating the web mapping application itself is described, too. Data have been stored using PostgreSQL database system and its extension PostGIS. Route planning is realized using pgRouting library and the resulting route is displayed using OpenLayers library and OpenStreetMap as a base map. The application has been created using PHP and Javascript.
