Sabolová, Ela ; Dovalil, Vít (advisor) ; Vodrážková, Lenka (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with onomastic research and analysis of proper names of German origin and their development in the first half of the 20th century in the mining town of Dobšiná. The incentive to choose this topic was a visit to the Evangelical Church in Dobšiná, in which is located a memorial plaque with the names of 112 victims of the Přerov massacre, which was not discussed until the change of socio-political conditions in 1989. The research is carried out on the basis of data from parish register from the interwar period, stored in the Evangelical Church. The aim of the work is based on previous research to briefly process the history of the town of Dobšiná and its demographic structure with emphasis on the development of the German ethnic group. To get thoroughly acquainted with the origin, development, division of proper names in the central areas of the German language on the basis of professional literature and to map the occurrence of surnames of German origin in the interwar period in Dobšiná, which will be subsequently linguistically characterized.
