Neuromuscular control of motor units in strength and coordination dependant tasks for lower limbs
Šádek, Petr ; Otáhal, Jakub (advisor) ; Ravnik, David (referee) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Neuromuscular control of motor units in strength and coordination dependent tasks for lower limbs. Objective: To compare muscle activity on the level of motor units through decomposition of surface electromyography signal from vastus medialis during given strength and coordination oriented movement tasks and to describe eventual differences in the parameters of tracked motor units in regards to given movement tasks. To assess the quality of chosen method for describing the muscle activity control on the level of motor units for further possible applications in the research and clinical environment. To summarize relevant knowledge acquired through the decomposition method of surface electromyography signal regarding the control of movement, motor unit activation and other relevant informations for clinical environment. Method: Theoretical part of the work presents the decomposition method, the process of its evolution and its constituent parts in the context of electromyographic evaluation of muscles along with selected chapters of neuromuscular kinesiology on the level of motor units. The experimental portion of presented thesis was carried out on 12 probands in the age of 23,2 (+- 5,3) years, who were instructed to perform the selected movement tasks of single leg squat in two different...
The rehabilitation process of prisoners with diagnosed diorders and their reintegration into society
Sádek, Petr ; Sedláčková, Daniela (advisor) ; Burešová, Karolína (referee)
SÁDEK, Petr. The resocialization process of prisoners with diagnosed disorders with the purpose of their social reintegration. Prague: Faculty of philosophy, Charles University. 95 s. diploma thesis. The diploma thesis deals with the resocialization process in the prison environment, which persons serving a custodial sentence, go through. It maps the social environment of a specific specialized unit in a high-security prison where people with mental disorders, behavioural disorders, and personality disorders under the influence of addictive substances are imprisoned. This thesis provides insight into the issue of special educational-therapeutic approaches applied in the current prisons in the specific prison environment. The aim of the work is to find out the efficiency and functionality of used approaches of the resocialization process, which are created as a tool for reintegration of prisoners back into society. The theoretical part deals with the specifications of individual determinants affecting the resocialization process. It is a description of the present prison approach system, an expert description of specialists working there and a description of prisoners who are included in the specialized section programs, a description of educational-therapeutic procedures used to resocialization the...
Stretching and the Maximal Muscle Strength
Šádek, Petr ; Konopková, Renata (advisor) ; Otáhal, Jakub (referee)
Title: The effect of stretching on maximal muscle performance Objectives: Due to the number of studies, concerning the effect of the muscle stretch on sport performance and their heterogeneity in the term of used parameters, tests and even performing the stretch exercises themselves, it would be desirable, thanks to the importance of this subject, to consolide and evaluate up-to-date knowledge. The goal of this diploma thesis is to compare and assess available literature concerning the effect of muscle stretch during warmup on the sport performance and, ideally, to define the best type of the stretching itself. Method: The diploma thesis is composed as a literature review - an integrative review with exactly defined criteria for the use of available studies. Result : Even with the nonuniformity of parameters used in available studies there is a consensus in most of the used sources, which met the criteria of inclusion in this research, which (the consensus) determinates the dynamic stretching as the form most appropriate for enhancing the following sport performance. Although studies, proving this result, are in their findings quite unanimous, a precise definition of prefered exercises for peforming the dynamic stretching and of its parameters is still missing. Key words: stretching, dynamic,...
Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient after lumbal disc diseasses with radiculopathy L5/S1
Šádek, Petr ; Vrbová, Martina (advisor) ; Dušánek, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient after lumbal disc diseases with radiculopathy L5/S1 Objectives: The objective of theoretical part is to summarize informations acquired by literature search to form an adequate knowledge for manual approach to the problematics. Goal of the special part is creating a case study describing possible rehabilitation care of patient after surgery because of lumbal disease with radiculopathy and afterwards evaluating the effect of chosen therapeutical approaches, which are described in theoretical part. Method: Bachelor thesis was made during a month-long work experience in FN Královské Vinohrady in Prague, where the patient had spent three weeks, from 27.1. to 15.2., which was the 25th to 44th day after the surgery. Within her stay, she had one and a half hour therapy with physiotherapist per day and free acces to the local gym for her autotherapy, where she spent approximately one hour per day. Detailed report of every therapeutic unit is described in the special part, along with effect evaluation of the chosen physiotherapeutic methods. Key words: lumbal diseases, vertebral column, radiculopathy, physiotherapy
