Organizing summer camps for children

Planning and organization of summer camps is the primary concern of this thesis. All the necessary aspects of organization, such as choosing the right location, creating the daily programme or even the ecological impacts summer camps have on out planet are present. The thesis also offers practical advice and tips for effective management. It can serve as a useful source for future supervisors and other summer camp management as it is a complete guidebook for successful planning and realization of such events. Aims: To create a guidebook for planning and organizing summer camps. Methods: Descriptive analytical approach, content analysis and personal experience. Results: The thesis provides a complex view into planning and organizing summer camps and offers research possibilities in the area of perfecting practice of child activities and education. Conclusion: The thesis offers better understanding of planning and organizing summer camps and offers research possibilities in the area of perfecting practice of child activities and education. Datamining - teorie a praxe

This thesis deals with the topic of the technology called data mining. First, the thesis describes the term data mining as an independent discipline and then its processing methods and the most common use. The term data mining is thereafter explained with the help of methodologies describing all parts of the process of knowledge discovery in databases -- CRISP-DM, SEMMA. The study's purpose is presenting new data mining methods and particular algorithms -- decision trees, neural networks and genetic algorithms. These facts are used as theoretical introduction, which is followed by practical application searching for causes of meningoencephalitis development of certain sample of patients. Decision trees in system Clementine, which is one of the top datamining tools, were used for the analysys.

Object-relational mapping on .NET

This study concerns the theme of object-relational mapping on the .NET platform. It briefly explains the differences in the relational and object view on data a therefore it describes design patterns which are in object-relational mapping vastly applied. These design patterns are described in order to inform the reader about their advantages as also disadvantages and they are commonly depicted with an elementary illustration. The description of the design patterns is followed with a specification of the .NET framework and other elements (e.g Visual Studio 2008), which are essential to define for further progress in this study. The specification concludes into description of four products, which serve as modelers and generators of the object-relational mapping layer. The goal of this study is to provide a view of the object-relational impedance mismatch issue, means of its solution to the reader and help him with eventual need to invest into products which aid in object-relational mapping on .NET. For potential need to invest in other products than those which are tested in this study is the reader supplied with well-formed rating criteria which are, in my opinion, ready for being standardised. These goals are achieved by generating the mapping layer with all four tested products and description of the mapping process and the layer afterwards.
