Comparision of the profession of Nutritional Therapist in the CR and abroad

This bachelor's thesis compares the profession of a nutritional therapist in the Czech Republic and abroad. Its purpose is to analyse both similarities and differences in education of nutritional therapists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The thesis is divided into chapters, each of which is concluded with a comparative analysis. Selected documents were studied and subsequently compared in order to perform the analysis. The first section states the general requisites for practising a medical profession. Information on vocational education follows, which then continues with information on specialized courses. Subsequently, curricula of selected universities, medical high schools and other vocational institutions are compared. This section contains the subjects covered by both vocational and specialized courses. Furthermore, the thesis also focuses on certified and lifelong learning courses that are important part of a health care profession. The results show that education of nutritional therapists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is very similar. However, we can find a significant difference in subjects taught during specialized education.
