Application of decision support models in practice - choice of an appartment
Guzanová, Petra ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
The target of this bachelor´s work is the appartment selection for given user. The most suitable appartment alternatives will be selected with use of one of decision methods. The bachelor´s work is splitted into two chapters. The theoretical part specifies basic terms concerning decision processes - criterion, aspiration level, options, decision maker, progressive substitutions method, indiferent curve. In its end the theoretical part conducts a survey of the market situation with appartments in the Czech Republic and describes ways of its evaluation. In the practical part is on basis of gained information selected region, from which has been performed the appartments choice. On basis of familiarization with specification of future appartment user there have been defined suitable criteria and its aspiration level determination. After exclusion of non-acceptable and domino variants the progressive substitutions method has been finally applied. The result of this decision method is the definition of appartment ranking according to the best achieved values of equalized criterium. Finally these received results were consulted and discussed with the user. Appartment alternatives placed on top 5 ranking positions have been recommended to the user for closer examination guided by certified real estate agent.
Application of Multiple Attribute Decision Making
Krček, Petr ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on selecting car for physically handicapped people by using multi-attribute decision making. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical description of used methods explaining basic terms and relations. In the second part there is realized selection itself, it's description and calculations. Selection is made by use of Saaty's method of pairwise preferences, which defines individual criterion weights of alternative transport options, followed up by AHP method, where the best optimal option of car is selected.
Application of queuing theory model
Krausová, Lenka ; Kvasnička, Roman (advisor) ; Dömeová, Ludmila (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is detailed description of queuing theory. The goal is to analyse queuing system in company ČEZ and to suggest practical steps for the system improvement. Thesis is divided into two major parts. Theoretical part describes queue theory in detail, its models and characteristics and serves as baseline for practical part. In the practical part of thesis, real-life queuing system of company ČEZ will be analyzed. System will be described by chosen model and additional characteristics will be calculated. Based on several projections, most cost-effective variant will be chosen. In the conclusion part, practical steps will be presented in order to minimalize costs.
Decision making in SMEs
Celba, Šimon ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Radim, Radim (referee)
The goal of the work is the creation of a system for decision making support in the company BSL, s.r.o.. The system for the decision making is to resolve the problem with decision making in choosing personal computers for the companys partners. In the thesis a system for decision making for the company BSL is suggested, as well as its functions and the methodology it utilizes are clearly described. The abilities of the systems are introduced through realistic computations during the choice of a personal computer for individual BSL partners. The results are interpreted through a user interface where the individual options of interaction and users system functions are described. The conclusion of the work includes the results of the individual computations along with suggestion of the best personal computer for individual partners.
Multiple-criteria Decision Making in Business Environment
Marek, Tomáš ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Vaňous, Jan (referee)
Bachelor thesis is focused on finding the most suitable carrier for transporting of products from the factory located in the Czech Republic to its spanish branch. The logistic problem was solved by the multi-criteria decision making. The theoretical part is based on the scientific literature and includes a description of the method of multi-criteria decision making. In the practical part a company engaged in manufacturing and selling whirlpools and its transport requirements, including benchmarks, was presented. Weighted criteria were determined by using the selected method. From the several carriers was chosen the most suitable one according to specified criteria.
Operations research methods in companies
Medřická, Iveta ; Kvasnička, Roman (advisor) ; Dömeová, Ludmila (referee)
The thesis analyzes the commercial vehicle selection for the company Autoservis K through specific methods of operational research. The first part literature review where is described history and distribution operations research. The basic part of theoretical review is detailed description of multi criteria decision making because this discipline will be used in the practical part. Practical part describes the criteria for the commercial vehicle chosen. Subsequently the aspiration levels are set up and insufficient alternative are eliminate. To determination of the criterion weights are based on Saaty paired comparison method (Saaty matrix). For final decision of compromise alternative is applied the basic variants method. In conclusion, the best alternative is selected. This alternative is recommended to buy the company.
Multiple Criteria Decison Making in Firm Practice
Benda, Pavel ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with the use of multiple criteria decision making methods by choosing of new firm notebooks for employees in firm. Theoretical part deals with brief description of multiple criteria decision making theory, the essence of multiple criteria decision making use, methods to designate type of a variants and their rating and methods for assessment scales of criteria. The practical part displays assessment of criteria and their scales with help of interview with leadership of firm. Then, choosing of few best variants with help of TOPSIS method, designation of compromise variant. In the conclusion is than evaluated result.
Multiple Criteria Decison Making in Firm Practice
Maček, Jiří ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the theme Multiple Criteria Decision Making in Firm Practise. The aim of the thesis is to choose an appropriate sowing machine for the company Agro K+M s. r. o. The beginning of the theoretical part describes the definitions of the basic terms which are connected to the theme. The following overview is concerning the most important theories of the decision making and their related elements. The thesis uses some of the methods of the multiply criteria decision making. At the end of the theoretical part, there is a description of some important terms such as the ploughing and the no-ploughing soil tillage. The practical part applies the appropriate methods of multiply criteria analysis of variants in the selection of universal sowing machine. At first there are established criteria, afterwards there is used the Saaty Method of quantitative pair-wise comparison. As the best alternative is used Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for the calculation of the benefits of individual variants. At the end of the bachelor thesis, variants are ordered according to their benefits. The best variant is consulted with the user. Practical applications of operations research methods
Frasynyuk, Vyacheslav ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
Main goal of this work is to optimise replenishment cyclce of chosen product for J.O.D Dvořákovi Ltd. with usage of inventory managment methods. Based on analysis of company's data some variables for optimisation were identified. Using models for inventory managment with stochastic demand two results came out. Using method with continuous-review system company would need to order 388 pieces whenever supply drops below 237 pieces. Comparing to previous year new total costs are halved and are equal to 14 991 CZK. Result of method based on level of service at 98% is to order 388 pieces whenever supply drops below 130 pieces.Total year costs are at 18 119 CZK. According to acquired results author can recommend company a new way of inventory managment and save costs for ordering and storing supplies.
