The Impact of the Crisis on the Financial Health of the Company - Case Study for Hartmann - Rico, a.s.

The bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation of financial health of company HARTMANN – RICO a.s. in years 2008–2011 and 2017–2020, in which the Czech market was influenced by the economic crisis in the first period and the corona crisis in the second period. The evaluation is performed on the basis of the methods of financial analysis, whose selected indicators are described in the theoretical part and subsequently applied in the practical part. The findings are used in the last part to determine their own solutions to problematic parts of the company.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the financial situation of the TISK CENTRUM s.r.o. company between the years 2015 and 2019 and proposals for its improvement. The work is divided into three parts. The first part deals with theory, defines concepts and indicators of financial analysis. The second part focuses on practical employment of the indicators listed in the first part. It also uses the results to compare the company, that is being evaluated, with their competition. The third part of the work presents proposals for improving the financial situation of the company.

The process includes classification analysis and correlation and regression analysis. As a result, possible solutions are suggested to the company. My recommendations could lead to improvement of their financial situation.

The bachelor’s thesis will focus on the evaluation of the financial situation of three selected companies from different sectors and their impact on covid measures in the short term. The work will contain a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part will list all the theoretical background needed to achieve the main goal of the work. In the practical part, an analysis of three companies in the years 2017-2020 will be performed using the methods listed in the theoretical part. This analysis will be complemented by a bankruptcy and creditworthiness model and time series predictions. Subsequently, all the findings and summarized proposals for what companies should focus on effective company management are summarized.
