The use of the waste aggregates for bound mixtures of pavements

The works deals with the possibilities of using non-standard fraction of fine crushed aggregate in route base layers. Goal of my thesis is research of using material from specific location. Theoretical part summarizes basic knowledge regarding bound mixtures and their normative requirements. Practical part of my thesis describes my various mixture design and following testing and determination of design properties by official and experimental tests. The conclusion summarizes the researched outputs and findings, which confirm the future possibilities of using this material in base layers.

Functional tests on mixtures of the test section with asphalt concrete and high amount of RAP

The diploma thesis is focused on the testing of asphalt mixtures of asphalt concrete containing reclaimed asphalt and laying of the test section. The theoretical part deals with the use of reclaimed asphalt in hot asphalt mixtures, namely the specifics of rejuvenating agents, aging and asphalt mixture. Further more information on the functional properties of asphalt mixtures and the influence of reclaimed asphalt on them is given. The practical part describes testing of mixtures of ACO 11+ and ACO 11+ with 50% reclaimed asphalt and tests on asphalt binders. In order to compare the proposed mixtures, the low thermal properties of ČSN EN 12697-46 and the stiffness modules according to ČSN EN 12697-26. In the last part of the diploma thesis the results of the measured values were compared with each other in order to determine of asfphalt recovery. From the overall test results, it can be seen that the effect of the rejuvenating agent was positive. However, the desired degree of rejuvenation has not been achieved after production.

Non-competition clause

The main objective of the thesis is to focus on the institute of a non-competition clause within the Czech legal system. A special emphasis is put on the analysis of each of the aspects of a non-competition clause and the inclusion of a non-competition clause not only in the labour law, but also in the civil law as a whole. The thesis is divided into four chapters. These chapters are the History of a non- competition clause, Basic terms, Current legislation of a non-competition clause in the labour law and the Legislation of other institutes that regulate competitive conduct. The chapters are further divided into subchapters. Chapter One explains the historical development of a non-competition clause from the nineteenth century to the present day. The most important period was the 1990s, when a non- competition clause slowly began to return into the Czech legal system with the assistance of jurisprudence and legal literature. Chapter Two enumerates the most important terms, which occur in connection with a non-competition clause. This chapter includes, for example, the definition of the labour law. The enterprise as a subject-matter of business relations

65 IX. RESUMÉ 9.1 Sales Agreement on the Enterprise This dissertation concerns the enterprise as the object of commercial law relationships. It is divided in five thematic parts /blocks (see Section 2-6). In the first part I am dealing with a legal definition of the enterprise pursuant to the Czech Commercial Code. The definition of enterprise included in the Commercial Code is construed quite broadly in order to cover all elements of the enterprise. The basis for the definition of the enterprise is a decision concerning application of Montan Union Treaty Manessman dated 13 July 1962. No obligations belong to the definition of the enterprise. Qualification of the enterprise as a collective thing causes some difficulties, because the conception of the enterprise as a collective thing is in the Czech system of law neither defined nor legally regulated. Finally, I mentioned shortly a conception of the enterprise in the European law. According to the current legal regulation, the enterprise is understood as an object of legal relationships. The frost susceptibility of unbound mixtures to pavements

The thesis is focused on the analysis of the theoretical part of the unbound mixtures, their implementation and compliance. Further deals with determining the extent frost susceptibility direct and indirect method in the Czech Republic and the Member States of the European Union. The practical part is focused on the performance of tests on selected samples of unbound mixtures for which was gradually increased the content of fine particles and that direct and indirect method of determining the rate of frost susceptibility and also the evaluation of direct methods of particular customized way, which does not impose the appropriate standard. At the conclusion of the work is carried out an evaluation of the samples and comparison of the different methods with each other.

Experimental design of asphalt mixtures

The diploma thesis is focused on an experimental design of low-noise asphalt mixtures. The theoretical part describes the problems of noise and methods for noise measurements. There are also specified the characteristics of various low-noise asphalt mixtures. The practical part addresses the experimental design of SMA 8 LA. Subsequently, the mixture is exposed to functional testing and the results are afterwards compared with the conventional type of stone mastix asphalt SMA 8 S. The second part is focused primarily on an experimental mixture design of a specific asphalt mixture type - coated macadam. There is especially solved the issue ofbinder drainage and the proportion of cracked grains during the compaction. The advantage of this mixture is the lower price demands cause by lower binder content and a smaller amount of fine aggregate. This mixture should be used as a base layer for low-loaded (traffic) roads. In the conclusion are thereafter evaluated the knowledge and the experience with the testing and designing of individual mixtures gained during the testing.

The frost susceptibility of the soils and materials to subgrade of the pavements

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the determination of the frost susceptibility of soils in the subgrades of road structures. The theoretical part compares the ways of testing the frost susceptibility in the Czech Republic and other selected countries of the European Union. Furthermore, it also deals with the development of the frost susceptibility index in the Czech Republic. The empirical part focuses on the laboratory testing of the frost susceptibility of the given sample of soil by the direct frost heave method. Moreover, it also deals with the simulation of penetration of frost by the subgrade and the possibility of shortening the length of the freezing during the direct testing the frost susceptibility.

WTO positions to deal with the international financial and economic crisis

The diploma thesis on the subject: "WTO positions to deal with the international financial and economic crisis" makes an attempt to get a complex view of the role of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in relation to the recent and so far not totally overcome world economic crisis. The point of departure of the dissertation is a brief analysis of the main functions of the WTO in the context of its history including the ongoing negotiations of the so called Doha Development Agenda (DDA). The dissertation analyses further the main causes of the recent crisis and compares it with the Great Depression of the thirties in the XX century. Special attention is thereat given to the role of the international trade and the impact of both crises on it. It states that in both cases the trade was not a cause of the crisis but rather its victim. The differences are seen in the fact that in this crisis the states in principle managed to resist protectionist tendencies. This was also thanks to the role of the WTO and its effect, through its monitoring mechanism as well as the existence of the system of binding rules. It takes notice of different forms of today's protectionism and is warning against its development. In the conclusion the thesis indicates some of the possible directions of the next development of the WTO activities.

Využití mechanismu WTO při řešení obchodních sporů

Práce popisuje mechanismus řešení sporů ve WTO a rozebírá jeho význam na konkrétním sporu. Stručně rekapituluje historický vývoj obchodně politického mezinárodního systému a vývoj mechanismu řešení sporů. Popisuje jednotlivé fáze průběhu sporů a naznačuje možný vývoj mechanismu s pohledem na probíhající negociace ve WTO. Na příkladu sporu Norska versus EU v otázce antidumpingových opatření vůči dovozům chovaného lososa z Norska ilustruje složitost průběhu sporu i jeho celkovou náročnost a dochází k závěru o přínosu mechanismu při nutnosti uvážení významu chráněného ekonomického zájmu.
