Measurement of molar concentration in CO2 jet issuing from a narrow pipe into an air stream is described. Two methods of concentration measurement have been compared - using the analyser Guardian and using a special hot-sensors probe.

The method of detection of big water droplets in the wet steam flow based on hot-wire anemometry is used for analysis of the flow behind the last stage of the 210 MW steam turbine in two operational regimes.

K otázce stability aeroelastické soustavy

Natural frequencies and the thresholds for loosing the stability of thin-walled cylindrical shell conveying by flowing fluid are theoretically studied. Potential flow theory for fluid and semi-membrane (half bending) theory of shells are used. The shells of finite length are considered for different cases of boundary conditions at the edges of the shell. Arising of the aerodynamic damping in the studied aeroelastic system due to the flowing fluid, and properties of adjoint solution are showed.

Effect of increase of heat in the rubber-like materials with high inner damping during repeated deformation is investigated. Rheological properties e.g. stiffness and damping of such materials depend considerably on temperature. Knowledge of complex modulus properties of polymeric damping materials are strongly needed for the design of systems suppressed to vibrations, for the control of vibrations and noise. Simplified mathematical model of two degrees of freedom is analysed from the point of view of lost energy, heat transfer between inner and outer part, cooling of the surface and changing stiffness and inner damping. This model is the first stage for studying of thermomechanic interaction in the 3D form of damping elements by FEM
