The dissertation deals with the issues of student assessment, namely classification by means of marks and verbal assessment. As a form of student assessment an approach based on the synthesis of both forms is also considered. In the theoretical part of the dissertation assessment in general, school assessment and its special characteristics, positive and negative assessment, types and functions of assessment are defined. The dissertation is mainly concerned with the issues of forms of assessment, their benefits and negative aspects. When discussing verbal assessment, the possibilities of its use are described, its different forms are distinguished, attention is paid to the question of formulating verbal assessment. The dissertation is also concerned with the issues of transition from classification to verbal assessment. The empirical part discovers, by means of interview, which form Czech language and literature teachers use when assessing the students and what their opinions of types of assessment in question are. Students´ assessment in the instruction of vocational subjects in secondary school

This bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of assessment of students when teaching vocational subjects at high school. The work has theoretical and empirical character. In the beginning it deals with the definition of term, types and the function of the school evaluation. Following parts deal with methods and forms of assessment. A special attention is paid to the classification and verbal evaluation. The thesis also deals with the definition of self-assessment and peer assessment. In empirical part of the thesis there is the result of a case study which was intended to find out how teachers and students evaluate and what methods and forms of assessment are used. This case study is based on the observation of teaching vocational subjects at high school using video recording, questionnaire survey among teachers and students.

Bachelor thesis creates an overview of current evaluation methods used by students of secondary technical school as a means of feedback. The aim of the thesis is the survey method used to students evaluation at selected secondary technical school. In the theoretical part is describing issue of evaluation, methods and aim. Methods of theoretical part are analysis, synthesis and comparison of extracts from scientific literature sources. The practical part deals with ways of evaluation of students by teachers. To obtain this information was made observation of teaching vocational subjects in selected secondary technical school, which was recorded in the observation sheets. These observations were carried out for eight different teachers of vocational subjects. Subsequently, the obtained data is analyzed and evaluated. Based on these results are further defined conclusions and recommendations for pedagogical practice.

The evaluation of student by teacher in Czech and English lessons

This thesis deals with a topic of evaluation of pupils in the elementary schools. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of basic concepts of evaluation namely its functions, types, forms, values and current problems. It also describes evaluated activities in the school subjects Czech and English language and the ways of evaluation of these activities. For explorational probe of practical part of thesis was used a method of controlled conversations that explored different ways and forms of evaluation that are used by particular teachers of Czech and English language in the elementary schools. The goal of practical part was to explore the attitudes to evaluation of pupils in the elementary schools in the subjects of Czech and English language.

Forms of the Pupils` Evaluation at Primary and Secondary Schools in the Czech Republic / With Referring to Evaluation Problems of the Pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties/

This diploma work completely deals with problems of the evaluation by a teacher. In the introductory part there are described specifics of the school evaluation, its importance and sense. There is also mentioned a survey of many types, functions of the evaluation and methods, which are mostly being used for the pupils{\crq} evaluation at school. It also discusses an influence of the evaluation on the pupil. It summarizes principles and processes of the pupils{\crq} evaluation, which are established and obligatory for schools in the Czech Republic. It analyzes the problems of basic forms of the evaluation, which are mostly being used at our schools; those are the word evaluation and the classification by marks; and it also describes the portfolio that is a new alternative form of the evaluation. It concentrates on important aspects of pupil{\crq} evaluations, principles, those are important to know and they must be observed. It devotes to an importance of positive and negative evaluations and also to a smart question of the evaluation objectivity. It refers to mistakes which are important to avoid. It points out the importance of individual approach to pupils, especially to pupils with specific learning difficulties. It analyzes the evaluation problems of the pupils with learning disability and it refers to the mistakes that are necessary to remember in the evaluation of pupils with specific learning difficulties.
