Education of Visually Impaired Children with Focus on Music Education

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the education of visually impaired children with focus on music education. The aim of this work is to chart methods currently applied the in education of visually impaired children with a focus on music education. The current methodies will be compared with the procedures that had been used in the education of visually impaired children in the past. The theoretical part is mainly aimed at education of the pupil/student with visual impairment, where it was drawn from the quoted literature and selected scholarly resources. In this section it is possible to find types of schools for the visually impaired, teaching methods, but also brief etiology of visual defects, and finally, possibilities of employment of visually impaired people in the music field. The second (empirical) part of this thesis deals with the processing of research through questionnaires and interviews. The research was carried out in schools which specialize in the education of visually impaired pupils and where teachers put emphasis on music education. Title of thesis: The development of the teaching of swimming in the open the way for a child diagnosed with albinism, nystagmus, astigmatism and myopia Compiled by: Veronika Sidorová Supervisor: PaedDr. Karel Kovařovic Objectives: The aim of the work is to learn technically well proband A. K. crawl swimming, so that the result will be a change of its status from non-swimmer to a swimmer. Methodology of work: The object of the case study in my work will be twelve years old student, who is diagnosed with albinism, nystagmus, astigmatism and myopia. According to Decree MŠMT § 11.75/2005 Sb., student does not meet the requirements of severe disability. When training freestyle swimming stroke'll investigate: mastery of basic swimming skills and spatial orientation abilities; ability to learn basic swimming stroke crawl; ∑ training in sports performance 100m freestyle in a time; handles the results graphically to 16 tables each week from October to January; tables will be divided into 5 parts, each part will contain a given exercise, utilities, length swam meters per workout (45 minutes), errors and correction of these errors and exercise to reduce these errors.
