Rural architecture of 19th and 20th century

This work is focused on the development of architecture in the countryside. It is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The intention in the theoretical part is to get an overview of the historical development of entire settlements and individual buildings. Overall, it is essential to be familiar with this topic in this section. The practical part is focused on a specific locality, which is the village Bošice. The site is examined from the very beginning of its creation to the present and in terms of historical development.
Historical development of rural municipalities in the selected regions of the Czech Republic

The development of the countryside was affected by various factors and indicators but the most important one was the historical context. The goal of my bachelor´s thesis, is to give the comprehensive overview of the issue by pointing out some important events and other factors. This thesis is also focused on the description of homesteads exterior and interior and also probes relationship between the factors mentioned and historical context, building ability and the social and intelectual level of the population. All these indicators gave grounds to nowadays arrangements and appearance of rural space.
The Country House Revisited: Variations on a Theme from Forster to Hollinghurst

This dissertation aims to provide an insight into English country house fiction by twentieth and twenty-first century authors, such as E.M. Forster, Evelyn Waugh, Iris Murdoch, Alan Hollinghurst, and Sarah Waters. The variety of literary depictions of the country house reflects the physical diversification of the buildings in question, from smaller variants to formerly grand residences on the brink of physical collapse. The country house is explored within the wider social and cultural contexts of the period, including contemporary architectural development. Given the exceptionally evocative and integrating properties that the influential theories of Martin Heidegger and Gaston Bachelard attribute to a house in general, it is unsurprising that the concept of the country house has inspired discussion of such a wide spectrum of topics. Its unique centring quality is echoed in the dense intertextuality prominently marking its literary representations, and enables the successful implementation of various temporal idiosyncrasies, which often set the house apart from the habitual passing of time. The bachelor thesis is devoted to local rural development, specifically the creation of a comprehensive Renewal program of Kaliště village (near Humpolec). The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of Kaliště, followed by an analysis of literature devoted to the area of Kaliště and literature dealing with rural renewal. In the practical part the bachelor thesis propose a lot of structured events/schemes aimed at development of Kaliště, these being divided into individual sectors. This proposal of the schemes follows from the analysis of existing territorial and local documents and information obtained from field research, such as data gathered from interview with important person of the village and a from questionnaire survey carried out among Kaliště?s local residents.
Recovery program for the territory Lhenice

This thesis relates on rural development, particularly "Programme Renewal of territory Lhenice". The strategy is based on the information and ideas gathering by direct questions to local residents and guided interviews to local experts, and also from materials of territorial and local development related to the rural area and his survey terrain and environs. These ideas are then used to guide the activity and putting into practice of "Programme Renewal of territory Lhenice - to support culture, education, club activities and social work, support settlements infrastructure,maintenance of communal areas, business, municipality cooperation with other municipalities and support maintenance municipal and listed buildings. At the bebinning of this these is a chapter describing the geographic enviroment of the area and the chapter dealing with literature related to the researched topic.
The influence of suburbanization on segregation processes in urban and rural settlements

Thesis "The influence of suburbanization on segregation processes in urban and rural settlements" analyzes suburbanization, as the process of transformation of urban structure. Based on the formulated objectives and hypotheses, using a combination of theoretical knowledge and self-evaluation of data on the administrative district of municipality with extended powers Nove Mesto nad Metuji, analyzes segregation as a result of suburbanization processes. The conclusion brings the selected possibilities of solving the problem of segregation and recommendations.
