The Design of Deep Cut Securing
Štainerová, Lenka ; Boštík, Jiří (referee) ; Glisníková, Věra (advisor)
The aim is to design economical and above all safe securing a deep notch, both in the construction phase and throughout the use of the building. In the first part of the thesis Background research will be given an idea of the construction of the geotechnical point of view. The second part will contain the geotechnical design calculation. The third part will be proposed safety recommendations in terms of geotechnical monitoring.
Factors affecting Slope Stability
Slováková, Kristýna ; Glisníková, Věra (referee) ; Boštík, Jiří (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor´s thesis entitled „Factors Affecting Slope Stability is a summary of the causes of the slope movements. This thesis presents the classification of the landslides and it describes the methods for the solving the slope stability and it nemtions the possibilities of the remediation. In the practical pasrt, the gained knowledge and abilities are using for a solution of the landslide in Kyjov-Netčice.
London Eye
Hušek, Martin ; Hradil, Petr (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
Performance of static analysis of the London Eye structure is the subject of this diploma thesis. First chapters of the thesis analyses overview of realized structures of the Ferris wheel. The main part of the thesis analyses the London Eye structure itself. Specifically are described response analyses, sensitivity analyses, analyses of ultimate limit state and serviceability, stress analyses, analyses of fatigue stress and lifetime analyses. The thesis describes among static analysis also a design of dynamic vibration absorbers. The results of each analysis are evaluated in the final chapters.
A comparison of analytical methods for slope stability analysis
Líšková, Ivana ; Glisníková, Věra (referee) ; Džaferagič, Mirnela (advisor)
Main goal of this bachelor´s thesis is to compare analytical methods for calculation of slope stability. This work is analyzing safety level for model slope by using calculation software GEO5 and also without using a software. Analysis is realized by using different methods. Output of the work is comparison of results of safety factor.
Numerical Patterns for Evaluation of the Stability Slope
Ekr, Jan ; Kytýr,, Jiří (referee) ; Gratza, Roman (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with numerical patterns for evaluation of the stability slopes. Solutions have been made with finite element method for different design situations with using programme system ANSYS. The results were compared with conventional approaches determining of the slope safety factor.
Recent Trucks Technical Solutions
Slavíček, Jakub ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is about technical solving of goods carriers. There is defined kinds of trucks by purposes of using. There are described carriages, gear units, motors, cabins, safety factor, electrical systems. There is vision of future. Knowledge of professional driver are used.
Four-cylinder gasoline engine with cylinder deactivation
Steigl, Vladimír ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is design of configuration and balancing of crankshaft which is determined for four-cylinder gasoline engine. The thesis investigates kinematics, dynamics and possible ways of balancing the inertial forces and moments of the rotating and sliding parts of the central crank mechanism. Subsequently, the 3D CAD model is designed according to the presented drawing. It is transformed into a spare torsion system, from which the calculations of its own and forced torsional vibrations are based. The proposed 3D CAD model is then spatially transmitted in the FEA software Ansys Workbench and modified (boundary conditions, etc.) in the FEA software Ansys Mechanical APDL so that it can be calculated according to the selected LSA method. From the selected results of the LSA method, the crankshaft safety factor against fatigue damage is calculated.
Connecting rod of gas V-sixteen engine
Laštovica, Karel ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a design of a stationary engine connecting rod, its stress analysis and its safety factors. The thesis is divided into several parts. At the beginning there is a short research of connecting rods construction and a description of the engine. Then the main dimensions of a piston group and a connecting rod are defined and its 3D model is created. Next, the calculations of forces acting on the connecting rod in the crankshaft mechanism, are carried out. The following part deals with a stress analysis of the model created by MPK. From the obtained stress results, the safety factor at fatigue limit in chosen places of the connecting rod is calculated. In the conclusion, the results of the stress analysis and set safety factor level, are recapitulated.
Slope stability calculations for small dams
Hajda, Jindřich ; Hodák,, Jiří (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
There are approximately 20 000 small dams in the Czech Republic. This number entails many ponds or small flood attenuation reservoirs, which provide protection against floods. We do not know much about the structure and material properties of these earth dikes. Concerning the small dam stability the current technical standard ČSN 75 2410 focuses foremost on the angle of both the upstream and downstream slopes in case of different materials, and the method of the stability assessment in case of a dam height being 6m or more. Most of these earth dikes are still standing in spite not being built according to any technical standards. They do not follow any standards mostly because they were built before the modern technical standards were published. This diploma thesis focuses on assigning the degree of a reserve in the safety factor for studies of 5 homogeneous earth dikes and 3 inhomogeneous earth dikes. The calculation was done using the Plaxis 2D software using to the shear strength reduction method. The Calculation of the safety degree is made for 4 typical load cases.
