Photometry and spectroradiometry of LEDs

This thesis deals with the processing of light technical parameters and performance of key LED chips for their applications in lighting systems. The aim is to create a laboratory model for measuring the qualitative and quantitative parameters of highly luminous light LED emitted depending on the angle, using a spherical integrator 0.3 m, goniometer and fiber spektroradiometr /luxmeters. Goniometer is designed using modular optomechanical parts company Thorlabs. Due to the current passing through the LED chips heat up considerably. To light LED chip parameters tested were not affected by heat from the chip is required to pay the heat generated by a passive radiator. Another part of this thesis is the reconstruction of an older model spherical integrator. Reconstruction must be undertaken so as to ensure sufficient cooling again tested LEDs. Light scattered in the ball of the integrator is led by the optical cable to the spektroradiometr that are subsequently recorded its parameters. The second element used to measure the light produced by the LED source is photocell. Spherical integrator must be appropriately modified to indicate the two measuring elements and also meet the standards of determining the correctness of measurement. At the end of the measurement results will be compared with catalog values provided by the manufacturer.
The complex diagnostics of apartment building construction before reconstruction

This thesis deals with the diagnosis of a residential building from the late nineteen twenties for the needs of reconstruction. The methods generally used in the diagnosis of structures are briefly described in the theoretical part. More deeply this section describes the methods that were used during this particular research. The practical part deals with the diagnosis of the object itself. The first section describes the layout of the villa, its design solution, its faults and defects detected during the inspection. The next section deals with evaluating the current state of construction materials. Static reports of several structural parts were calculated in the last section.
Experimental investigation of settling slurry flow in inclined pipe sections

Narrow particle size distribution glass beads-water slurry flow in the pipe sections of different inclination were investigated on an experimental pipe loop of inner diameter D = 100 mm. The study refers to the effect of pipe inclination and slurry velicity on local concentration distribution, pressure drop-velocity relationship, and deposition limit. The study revealed that the glass beads-water mixtures in the inclined pipe sections were significantly stratified: the solid particles moved principally close to the pipe invert, and for flow velocities close to the deposition limit sliding bed or stationary deposit is created even in inclined pipe sections.

non-invasive methods for sensing solids concentration distribution in liquid flowing through pipe

The paper deals with a measurement of solids concentration in aqueous slurry flowing in a pipe. A radiometric method is currently in use on a testing pipe lop of Institute of Hydrodynamics AS CZ. Results using the method are summarized and compared to our first results using another method, electrical impedance tomography, which was recently tested on the same loop.
