Management of Brno Dam Water Reservoir

Focus of this bachelor thesis is a long-term, sustainable management of environment of dam in Brno, more precisely environment of a basin of the river Svratka, with regards to creation of optimal balance between ecological, economic and social field. Need to solve this issue arose as a result of catastrophic quality of water in a water reservoir, which was caused by inappropriate agricultural activities in the basin and improper waste management especially in the area of municipal waste. In accordance with effort to start up process that would result in better management of environment in the basin of river Svratka, model project "Čisté povodí Svratky" is being realized. Its goal is to attain rectification by implementation of several essential measures. Project came to be as a joint effort of several regions (Pardubický, Vysočina and Jihomoravský as a coordinator of the project), statutory city of Brno, Povodí Moravy, state enterprise (as a guarantor of the project). On behalf of process of revitalization in the basin of river Svratka, or rather water reservoir Brněnská přehrada, several model situations and consequent measures to improve quality of water have been proposed, based on gathered data. Extent of the proposed measures should allow maintaining balance within all of the monitored spheres. My focus in practical ecological part of this thesis lays in observation of coefficient of ecological stability and complex estate modifications in chosen localities of area in question.

Multi-functionality of the territorial system of ecological stability

This thesis deals with appreciation of the contemporary landscape and the approaches to improve the conditions of sustainability an ecological stability. Currently landscape is increasingly fragmented and thus decreases its ecological stability. Remnants of landscape elements constitutes ecological skeleton, which is the basis of the territorial system of ecological stability (TSES). The aim of the TSES is interconnection of the landscape and increase its ecological stability by using biocenters, bio corridors and interactive elements, which are thanks their multi-functionality in the landscape irreplaceable.

Processing of survey works in the selected locality as the basis for land consolidation project

The literature review is looking to landscaping, and it mainly explain basic concepts and informations of landscaping such as form of landscaping. The work deals with gathering information about the entire cadastral area for creating future complex landscaping. Research is conducted on the basis of a methodology, where are descripted current condition and exploration of territory. Custom Research Briefly discusses the entire cadastral area. In research part is the characteristic of territory, including the landscape, as well as economic land use, water management, infrastructure and manufacturing function.

Analysis of the development and land use from existing map bases in the selected area and its application in solving complex land adjustment

The focus of research in this diploma thesis is mapping the landscape of the Czech Republic, with an overview of the historical development of maps, the extinction of settlements, and the relationship between maps and land use adjustments. Furthermore, the thesis includes descriptions of maps in the studied area (the municipal area of Stachy and Studenec u Stach) and descriptions of the current as well as historical land use. The development of municipalities of Stachy and Popelná is examined by comparing several local maps, while also identifying the benefits of the area and the opportunities for complex land use adjustments. Samples of maps which were used for this research are to be found in the Annex to the thesis.

Mapping of scattered vegetation and planting proposal in two areas with different nature and landscape protection

The aim of my thesis is to analyze the scattered vegetation in the two specific areas with different protection of landscape . It was chosen cadastral Zachotín and Škrdlovice, which is in protected landscape area Žďárské Vrchy. Field survey has been detected current state of the scattered vegetation and was made into plotting maps. This work was carried out in an ArcMap 10. Subsequently, both states scattered vegetation evaluated and compared . An integral part of the work is also a proposal planting and additions scattered vegetation in both cadastral areas .

Analysis of available base data for survey work by land consolidation using WMS

The aim of the thesis is the analysis of available documents for processing examiners work for landscape with using WMS (Web Map Service). The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the basic division of existing spatial information useful in landscape and description of the available map services (geoportals) in the Czech Republic and in the world. The following is a detailed description of WMS, what is it WMS service and how this service works. The practical part is focused on the use of WMS in the preparatory work for landscape and subsequent analysis of the current state of landscape with using this service in the Czech Republic. Conclusion of the practical part is focused on the application of knowledge in the selected area.

Nature protection analysis in the Czech Republic by GIS

This thesis deals with geographical information systems, that are trying to in-depthly talk over and explain all of the requirements. It focuses on data models, particular programs or on required hardware that is needed to make it happen. Further is it dealing with landscape protection. It deeply looks for example at landscape character, czech legislation of landscape protection and few chosen projects such as cenia or inspire outside of regular description. And it finally decsribes web mapping applications in Czech republic. Examples of them are possibly MapoMat, server of KRNAP and Klíšťata.

Processing of survey works in the selected locality as the basis for land consolidation project

The aim of this thesis is the process of exploration works on the territory of Serbia as a basis for comprehensive landscaping. The literary research is focused on landscaping and this part mainly explains the basic concepts and essential information about land consolidation, for example the forms of landscaping. This part deals with the plan of joint facilities, landscape and territorial system of ecological stability. Research is conducted on the basis of the methodology. Concise descriptions of the current state and survey of area are included. The research deals mainly with the municipality of Srbsko. A general characteristic of area and the analysis of specific values and features of municipality are mentioned in this thesis. This part deals with infrastructure, water management, settlement municipality and manufacturing functions. The final part of this thesis mentions overall survey of area as a base for landscaping with ability to improve the overall stability of the village.
