Evaluation of land use changes in the Lhota-Vlasenice cadastral area.
LANG, Martin
This bachelor thesis was carried out in order to study and examine the history and today's land use of the Vlasenice village area, situated four kilometers eastward from Kamenice nad Lipou. The survey was done in the rather small area, approximately 404 ha, of the southwest part of the Vysocina Region. The aim of my thesis was evaluate the land use in the particular period from 1842 to 2009 based on the different historical and the current map documents. Moreover, the different types of land use found in the studied maps were compared between and within them. Interestingly, I have tried to find the real landscape changes, and point out the reasons causing these changes. These reasons were seeking and compared with studies written by specialists working in long term in this field. The ecosystem stability of the landscape was examined using its coefficients per the period of focus. The coefficients were calculated based on two different methods. Furthermore, I have tried to assess the development of the area with similar land use within the Czech Republic.

Designing public spaces in newly set up residential complexes - with the emphasis on the garden and landscape architecture
Krátká Adámková, Barbara ; Magni, Anna
Construction of new residential complexes in the Czech Republic is heavily criticized for constantly absorbing the suburban landscape and dysfunctional public spaces. The methodology can be used both when planning new housing (the question to build or not to build, and where?) and in the design process of an optimal urban structure of a new complex, its architecture and public spaces, including both functional and artistic details. Possibilities of applying principles of landscape architecture are huge and their proper use demonstrably leads to creation of quality housing, in accordance with the place.

The practical part describes the selected area - Cadastral territories Hořepník and Košetice, also presented farms - Agrodam Hořepník Ltd. and Agropodnik Košetice, Plc. Proposals landscape measures are designed with an emphasis on stabilization and drainage conditions and improve biodiversity of the landscape. With using Quantum GIS are measures drawn into the map. In an interview with agricultural entrepreneurs will be questions aimed at comprehensive land adjustment in general, on the proposed land adjustment and their willingness to embrace change. Of obtained responses by the interviewed subjects, we can state that depends only and only on the interests of farmers and sophistication of man, what is the view of the problems of land adjustment. Unfortunately, it is well known that the farmers of these arrangements often look very negatively. Comprehensive land adjustments complicate their work, but they are necessary; therefore, to look for tools those farmers attitudes have changed. These tools include a change of subsidy policy, attitudes of insurance, the influence of the local community, education and enlightenment of the company. On the basis of findings can be said that as land adjustment, which are currently implemented, are adapt rather to the needs of farms. In my view, however comprehensive land adjustments be in the public interest to implement consistently. In order to reach the target condition, it is necessary to create tools to accelerate progress.

Focus of this bachelor thesis is a long-term, sustainable management of environment of dam in Brno, more precisely environment of a basin of the river Svratka, with regards to creation of optimal balance between ecological, economic and social field. Need to solve this issue arose as a result of catastrophic quality of water in a water reservoir, which was caused by inappropriate agricultural activities in the basin and improper waste management especially in the area of municipal waste. In accordance with effort to start up process that would result in better management of environment in the basin of river Svratka, model project "Čisté povodí Svratky" is being realized. Its goal is to attain rectification by implementation of several essential measures. Project came to be as a joint effort of several regions (Pardubický, Vysočina and Jihomoravský as a coordinator of the project), statutory city of Brno, Povodí Moravy, state enterprise (as a guarantor of the project). On behalf of process of revitalization in the basin of river Svratka, or rather water reservoir Brněnská přehrada, several model situations and consequent measures to improve quality of water have been proposed, based on gathered data. Extent of the proposed measures should allow maintaining balance within all of the monitored spheres. My focus in practical ecological part of this thesis lays in observation of coefficient of ecological stability and complex estate modifications in chosen localities of area in question.
