Fine games like activation activity of seniors

The work is focused on the development of motivating activities for seniors, using art games. The theoretical part explains the different notions about old age, motivating activities and motivation for seniors and personality development by art education is mentioned. The practical part is focused on the project, which will create a model curriculum for motivational activities work with seniors. The entire project will take place in the nursing home in Dačice.

Differentiations in the approach of a radiology assistent to examinations of seniors

Peculiarities in the approach of radiological assistents to the examination of elderly patiens This bachelor thesis shows issues concerning the radiological worker in relation to older people. The title of the work is to specialize in radiology assistant access to seniors. I focused mainly on the need for diagnostic imaging in geriatric patients. These tests are for geriatric patients very important and beneficial in detecting and early identification accurate diagnosis. They are not demanding for the patient and burdensome. The theoretical part deals with a relatively detailed analysis of the life of the elderly in the Czech Republic, the behavior of geriatric patients and the development of his psyche. One chapter is devoted to the mystification of the dangers of digital imaging techniques and the use of contrast agents. Another part is devoted to radiation protection. It also happens that the employee is unwilling, unresponsive to patient and treats him accordingly. So I said examples of good and bad behaviour in hospitals. The old client needs special care which has become a problem for many people. The research part of the thesis has been compiling statistics on the use of diagnostic imaging in geriatric patients in private internal department. In the table are listed the initials of the patient: sex, age, primary diagnosis, type of diagnostic imaging, insurance, the cost of the method and the total price. The results obtained showed that a large proportion of the population uses the most conventional method of radiography, which is not challenging for patients. Traditional radiography, commonly known as the imaging is used in Central Europe from the 2nd half of 90th o f the 20 th century. The quality of seniors life in the city of České Budějovice

The title of my thesis is ``Quality of life of senior citizens in the town of České Budějovice{\crqq}. I chose this topic because ageing of population is increasingly becoming a problem which cannot be ignored and which is becoming a phenomenon of our time and affects individual as well as social life. The thesis is focused on the issue of quality of life of senior citizens living in their home environment and senior citizens who live in institutional facilities. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the terms old age and ageing, then deals with various aspects of ageing, terms of geriatrics and gerontology, health condition of elderly people, demographic ageing. The term ``quality of life{\crqq} and its determinants which affect life of senior citizens are defined. The empirical part of the thesis evaluates standard and quality of life of senior citizens in České Budějovice. Analysis and interpretation of data from questionnaire research provide information on quality of life and comparison of differences between senior citizens who live in institutional facilities (retirement homes, senior nursing homes) and senior citizens who live in their home environment. This part of the thesis was prepared using charts and graphs which show that hypotheses I had set were confirmed. The thesis can be used as information material for senior citizens and for students of Faculty of Health and Social Studies.

Communication with senior pacient in Neurosurgery ward in the Hospital in Ceske Budejovice,a.s.

Communication is generally defined as a transfer of information via various signals and means: orally, in writing, by facial expressions, gestures and other non-verbal behaviour, in particular between two or among several people. It is also often stated to involve the manners or the means facilitating connection (understanding). Doctors and nurses generally admit communication difficulties in certain specific demanding situations but some of them believe that they are good mediators, i.e. good communicators, due to their upbringing, abilities and education. By contrast, senior patients often find the communication skills of medical workers rather unsatisfactory and show dissatisfaction with the course of intercommunication. The objective of the research part of the bachelor thesis was to ascertain the manner how doctors and nurses communicate with senior patients in the neurosurgical ward. Another objective was to ascertain which manners of communication are suitable for senior patients hospitalized in the neurosurgical ward. It followed from the research that the seniors hospitalized in the neurosurgical ward prefer verbal communication {--} this form of communication is the most convenient for them. The medical staff also stated that they mostly used verbal communication {--} in some cases supplemented with non-verbal communication, in particular with gestures and the tone of the voice. This thesis could be used as a feedback in the area of communication between the medical workers and the senior patients hospitalized in the neurosurgical ward of Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s.

The Quality of Life by Clients at Seniors Houses " Pod Lipami" in Smečno, Kladno´s Region

The title of my thesis is The Quality of Life of Elderly Women and Men at the Senior House ?Pod Lipami? in Kladno District. I chose this topic because the ageing of population is becoming a problem which cannot be ignored and which has become a phenomenon of our time. It affects individuals as well as whole community. The topic of my bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of senior life quality. The theoretical part of this thesis describes demographic ageing, the terms of old age and ageing, then it deals with various aspects of ageing, terms of geriatrics and gerontology, health conditions of elderly people, quality of life and its determinants which affect senior life. The theoretical part is based on the knowledge of professional literature. The thesis deals with areas of ageing and old age, as well as with terms such as theoretical determination of life quality and senior care. The practical part is focused on my own examination and evaluation of senior life quality.

Caring for Senior Citizens with Dementia

The thesis deals with the manifestation and results of aging and old age from the point of view of the elderly and their experience of this stage of life and also from the viewpoint of the family and society around them. Further attention is drawn to the importance of the connection of health and social care for citizens with health problems, and the significance of social work in caring for senior citizens is emphasised. Other parts deal with the notion of dementia, with particular focus on Alzheimer{\crq}s disease. Basic problems are outlined which are connected with a citizen dealing with dementia and information is given which can help the family and all those who are involved in helping the patient. In the conclusion I evaluate the significance of permanent care and I consider the needs of non-institutional care and emphasise the importance of a caring family, humanity and understanding, which are important for the quality of life of those with dementia. This is the aim of my thesis.
