The BA thesis titled "Dysthanasia: Home care as one of the prevention methods of dysthanasia" deals with the issue of prolonged death and proposes solutions to prevent it. The theoretical part introduces to readers the basic concepts related to the finiteness of life. It discusses death from both medical and theological perspectives, and further describes in detail the concept of dysthanasia as one of the ways of dealing with death. The thesis defines the problems associated with dysthanasia and proposes palliative care as the best approach to prevent this issue. It also mentions organizational forms of specialized palliative care to follow up on the chapter describing home care for the dying, which is not only the best solution in preventing a negative approach to death and dying, but also meets the wishes of the majority of the population who wish to die in a familiar environment close to their family or friends. The last chapter mentions supportive services that help caregivers in caring for the dying. The practical part focuses on the closer examination of home care for the dying and its function in practice. Dignified dying and death

Bachelor thesis with name "Dignified dying and death" deals issue of dignified exit from life. Theoretical part of thesis is focused on mans dignity, dying, death, paliative care, hospice care and euthanasia. Purpose of this thesis is to find out differences in opinions on question about dying and death between students to 26 years old, employed persons to 65 years old and seniors above 70 years old. Between these groups I make quantitative research. I choose questionnaire method. I collected their attitude to dying and death, opinions on euthanasia, ideas about dignified exit from life and what is their knowledge about paliative care and euthanasia. Some results are surprising and alarming. My thesis should lead especially to thought above last days of man.

Ethical issues of care for the dying in a hospital

V disertační práci se věnuji etickým problémům, se kterými se setkávají zdravotníci při péči o umírající nemocné. první kapitole přibližuji problematiku péče o umírající pacienty, předkládám pohled do historie péče o umírající a zaměřuji se na klíčová kriteria při péči o umírající, kterými jsou potřeby nemocných. druhé kapitole popisuji metodologickou část kvalitativního výzkumu, kterého se zúčastnilo 15 sester ze standardních oddělení, jednotky intenzivní péče a anesteziologicko resuscitačního oddělení Nemocnice Na Bulovce. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo, prostřednictvím rozhovorů se sestrami, vyhledat a popsat etické problémy, se kterými se setkávají sestry při péči o umírající kontextu tří různých prostředí a v konkrétních situací Ve třetí kapitole uvádím komentované výsledky rozhovorů, ze kterých vyplynulo, že se sestry zamýšlejí nad ochranou lidského života v jeho kvalitou, dystanázií, marnou léčbou, rozdílem mezi ponecháním pacienta zemřít a eutanázií, autonomií, lidskou důstojností a poskytováním paliativní péče. Jednotlivé podkapitoly se skládají z teoretického zarámování a jsou doplněny o výpovědi respondentek výzkumného šetření a rozšířeny o můj komentář. Hlavním zjištěním je, že dotazované sestry trpí tzv. morálním distresem, který ovšem prezentují především v sérii konkrétních výhrad...

Dysthanasia as manipulation with natural death

This diploma thesis deals with the ethical problems contemporary dying and relationships society to death. One is devoted to issue dysthanasia, that approached as manipulation with death. Work looks for sources of dysthanasia and one finds is in contemporary attitudes medicine and patients to deaths, dehumanization of medicine and diversion from traditions. That also looks for pathway to prevention of dysthanasia. One sees is in repeated humanization of medicine, in accept the concept futile treatment and the capabilities to distinguish ordinary and extraordinary means. This work offers the alternative of dysthanasia palliative care and seeks for a position of social worker in it.

Common topics of Science and Theology in high school education

In the introduction this thesis classifies different conceptions of the relationship between science and faith. Then, it focuses on common topics of natural science and theology in secondary education. It summarises and reflects the experience of teaching practice and deals with the practical options for Christian issues which the students are usually interested in. The topics are presented in relation to a specific high school curricula and sorted into three parts: Death and dysthanasia, Time and rheology, Deus vere ludens et homo ludens. Some practical examples and recommendation for teaching practice are also mentioned.
