Treatment of a patient after Covid 19 disease in terms of pulmonary department.
HLINOVSKÁ, Martina
This work focuses on nursing care for patients with COVID-19 on the pulmonary ward from the perspective of outpatient care. The aim of the study is to describe specific nursing care for these patients and map the interest in extended care. The study utilizes a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods for data collection. For the quantitative part of the research, a dosing method using a non-standardized questionnaire was utilized. Three hypotheses were formulated: H1. The presence of nursing problems after recovering from COVID-19 is not related to age. H2. The presence of nursing problems after recovering from COVID-19 is not related to the need for hospitalization. H3. Patients who were hospitalized with COVID-19 have the same interest in follow-up care as patients treated on an outpatient basis. The semi-structured interview method was used for data collection in the qualitative part. Research questions were formulated: What patients require nursing care after recovering from COVID-19? What is the follow-up care for patients after recovering from COVID-19? What nursing problems occur in patients after recovering from COVID-19 during outpatient care? What are the resulting criteria for nursing problems in patients after recovering from COVID-19 during outpatient care? The results of both the quantitative and qualitative research confirmed the interest in extended care for patients recovering from COVID-19 on the pulmonary ward. The specifics of nursing care for these patients focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition, appropriate physical activity, and respiratory rehabilitation. Higher interest in extended care was found in patients who were hospitalized due to COVID-19. It was also confirmed that the presence of nursing problems in patients after recovering from COVID-19 is not related to age or the need for hospitalization. The research findings can contribute to understanding nursing care and serve as a basis for further development in this area. The conclusions of the research can be used to improve nursing practice and care planning for this specific group of patients. It is important to provide appropriate support and care for these patients in order to optimize their health and quality of life after recovering from the illness.
The attitude towards prevention and long-term follow-up in patients diagnosed with melanoma
Konkoľová, Radmila ; Provazníková, Hana (advisor) ; Janout, Vladimír (referee) ; Skořepová, Magdalena (referee)
52 7.2 Souhrn v anglickém jazyce Malignant melanoma is the most lethal skin cancer whose incidence has been worldwide increasing. The prognosis of the disease is dependent on many factors - the effected locality, age, form of the tumor and the growth stage at which it was surgically removed. There has been no reliable adjuvant treatment available so far; although cytokins have been recently administered to high-risk patients. The accent is therefore put mainly on the timely detection and the relevant extent of surgical intervention whose degree depends on the stage of the disease. The result of the above mentioned facts is the necessity of an early diagnosis of new cases and permanent follow-up of the patients in whom melanoma has been already confirmed. The patients in the follow-up care are regularly checked, for the rest of their lives, at by the so called melanoma commissions, usually at dermatological clinics. The permanent contact with fact of the possible presence of the disease (information about the diagnosis, repeated follow-ups, waiting for the results of the examination) is stressful for these patients, although they become, to a certain extent, gradually adapted to stress. A good adaptation is however dependent also on the extent of social support, depression, the severity of the disease and...
Nursing care of patients with diseases of the Von Hippel-Lindau.
SIGMUNDOVÁ, Ivana
Theoretical bases Nursing care is a comprehensive health care aimed at health maintenance and support, health recovery, development of self-sufficiency, mitigation of suffering of incurably ill patients and providing for their peaceful dying and death. Nursing care as a practical application of nursing findings takes account of fundamental human bio-psycho-social and spiritual needs. Care is provided by a team of registered general nurses certified to perform a medical profession without professional supervision. The most important part of nursing care is the supervision of patients. Supervision means active monitoring of the health condition of a patient endangered or suffering from a disease which does not require immediate health care but in respect of which it may be expected that the disease will result in such change of the health condition that the timely detection of such change may be of great importance for the treatment of the disease. Objective of the thesis The objective of the bachelor thesis on this topic was to map the matter of nursing care provided to von Hippel-Lindau patients. The thesis has a form of a theoretical paper utilising a wide range of both Czech and foreign literary sources. Used methods The thesis is based on an analysis of Czech and foreign data. Analysis of data from solely Czech sources was unsatisfactory in terms of contents. Awareness of VHL is very low in the Czech Republic as compared to foreign countries where information is collected and distributed to other countries. There is a great growth of VHL research abroad, resulting in new findings. The purpose of the detailed studying of all available literary data was to present a summary of the ascertained facts. Von Hippel-Lindau is one of 7000 known hereditary disorders. It is a genetic disease that causes abnormal growth of veins in some body parts. Their uncontrollable growth is caused by a defect of the VHL gen. A ball of vessels creates hemangioblastomas, angiomas, renal cell carcinomas, pheochromocytomas, pancreatic cysts and tumors, endolymphatic tumors and cystadenomas. Tumors are mostly benign but their location may impose a risk. The first part of the bachelor thesis addresses the cause of the disease, symptoms, methods of examination and treatment. The second part of the thesis is focused on the mental aspects of the disease and the likely future scenarios for VHL patients. Conclusion The bachelor thesis will serve to increase the awareness of von Hippel-Lindau disease among healthcare workers. It may also serve as a source of study materials for students of healthcare branches. The thesis includes a brochure containing introductory information about VHL disease.
Nursing care of patiens undergoing cystoscopic follow-up
MAŠÍKOVÁ, Kateřina
The subject of this bachelor work is Nursing care of patients undergoing permanently cystoscopic follow-up. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is devoted to the problem of providing nursing care to patients witch bladder cancer who untergo regular cystoscopic controls. It describes characteristics of the malignancy of the urinary bladder and its treatment, system of cystoscopic controls, awereness and nursing care for these patients. We have identified six objectives for this work. The first objective was to determine whether the patients have information about cystoscopic examination. The second objective was to determine whether the patients have information on duration of cystoscopic follow-up. The third objective was to map the most common complications after the cystoscopic examinations from the perspective of the patient. The forth objective was to map nursing practice of nurses in the care of permanently cystoscopic follow-up patients. The fifth objective was to determine whether the nurses know the specifics of nursing care for permanently cystoscopic followed-up patients. The last objective was to map the most common complications after the cystoscopic examination from the perspective of nurses. In the empirical part we set three hypotheses and three research questions. The first hypothesis was that patients have information about cystoscopic examination. The second hypothesis was that patients have the information on the length of cystoscopic follow-up. The third hypothesis stated that patients report as the most common complication after examination cystoscopic dysuriac problems. The first research question was what are the procedures for nurses in the nursing care of patients cystoscopic followed-up patients at selected locations. The second research question was what are the specifics of the nursing care of permanently cystoscopic follow-up patients from the perspective of nurse. The third research question was what are the most common complications after cystoscopic examination from the perspective of nurses. Based on an anonymous evaluation questionnare, the first, second and third hypothesis are confirmed and all the research questions were answered on the basic of interviews witch nurses. To obtain information from patients who are permanently cystoscopic followed-up at hospital departments of urology Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s. and Nemocnice Písek a.s. (=Hospital, a.s. joint-stock company) was used a quantitative method for date collection through an anonymous questionnaire. The questionnare contained 25 closed and semi-open questions. A total of 120 questionnaires were distributed of whitch the final survey used research of 82 ones. Survey results are summarized in graphs. Nonstandardized interview questioning technique witch nurses was used for data collection of quantitative research method. Getting information from the nurses was carried out through depth interview and was by means questions prepared in advance. Research survey was attended by 8 nurses working in hospital department of urology in Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s. and Nemocnice Písek a.s. Interviews with nurses were drawn for charity in case reports. Discussion was confronted with the specialized literature. The outcome of this bachelor work is the information booklet for permanently cystoscopic followed-up patients.
Prevention of malignant melanoma of derm
ŠŤASTNOVÁ, Lenka
The occurrence of malignant melanoma is rising. This thesis deals with malignant melanoma and its prevention. The quantitative analysis is based on a questionnaire survey. The purpose of this thesis was to detect the differences in the malignant melanoma prevention approach of the medical personnel and the ``ordinary{\crqq} people, and to detect the differences in approach of the people without personal experience with malignant melanoma and the patients with this experience. All the hypotheses were proved. The medical personnel focus more on the prevention than the ``ordinary{\crqq} people (H1). The ``ordinary{\crqq} people sunbathe excessively (H2). Patients are more protective than ``ordinary{\crqq} people (H3). Patients avoid the sunbathing and sunburn (H4). People with personal experience with malignant melanoma visit regularly a dermatologist (H5). Conclusions demonstrate that the approach to the malignant melanoma prevention is influenced by the medical personnel qualification and the patients{\crq} personal experience. Nurses informed only 2 % of the ``ordinary{\crqq} people and 4 % of the patients. It is important to promote the prevention and to raise the importance of nurses.
