Health determinants and self-perceived life expectancy Abstract The bachelor thesis addresses the relationship between selected determinants for people aged 65 and over, and the statements about their self-perceived health, in 2014. EHIS and EU-SILC surveys were used as source information. Selected health determinants belong to lifestyle factors and therefore can be influenced by one's behaviour. These determinants include body mass index, smoking habits and alcohol drinking. The thesis is based on an international comparison of selected health determinants and mortality indicators obtained from Eurostat data on the 28 member states of the European Union. Study Young People and Alcohol focused on the attitudes towards alcohol and drinking habits of young people. The study tried to design strategies aimed at reducing alcohol consumption among young people.
The influence of organized physical activity on smoking and alcohol drinking among children aged 12 to 16 years

The thesis is focusing on the influence of organized physical activities on the smoking and alcohol drinking by the kids between 12 and 16 years of age. The basic characteristics of organized physical activities, smoking and alcohol drinking are described in the theoretical part of the thesis where emphasis is put on children and youth.The sociological, psychological and biological views are included in the basic characteristics. The research in the practical part of the thesis was done by a questionnaire. The total number of interviewee was 216. The amount of physical activities, smoking and alcohol drinking by kids between 12 and 16 years of age was charted, once the data collected was statistically evaluated and put into connection with membership in a sports club.The research clearly shows that children registered in a sports club are less likely to smoke or consume alcohol.
