Daniel Ignatius Nitsch and Saint Francis Xavier in Gods' Love Embrace
Linka, Jan ; Kvapil, J.
Through the analyzes of the text "Zlaté hodinky Bohmila" (Bohmils' Gold Hours) by the Jesuit priest and missionary Daniel Ignatius Nitsch the study refers to the change in the understanding of "God's Love" in early modern society. It also shows a significant contribution of Jesuits to the expansion of "Gods' Love" cult, who did not consider "Gods' Love" to be merely a mean to strengthen the internal belief, but also as an effective tool of the Catholic Anti-Reformation propaganda.
