Involving Children from Children's Homes in the Life of Public Libraries

This thesis deals with two different institutions - a library and a children's home. The theoretical part describes the activities of the public library and its perception in society. The part related to the children's home briefly summarizes institutional care, the process of preparing children to leave the facility and the possible associated problems. The last part describes the cooperation of these institutions. In the practical part, qualitative research is carried out in the form of semi-structured interviews with respondents from library and children's house. According to analysis of these interviews, a project is proposed to integrate children from a children's home into the daily life of the community.
