Project Financing by EU Funds

This Diploma thesis is focused on the possibilities of financing a specific project in the company from EU Funds. Theoretical part of this thesis describes an individual funds and policies of European Union. This part also defines the basic informations from Project management. The aim of the practical part is prepare a feasibility study of the project. This project will be co-financed from EU Funds. After that the whole process will be assessed. In the end of the thesis is processed the whole procedure of submission the request from the Business and Innovation Programme through the CzechInvest agency.

This diploma thesis deal with the concept of appropriate forms of financing the purchase of equipment to start mass production of robots for automated manufacturing processes in ABB Ltd. Among the possible option of financing equipment purchases is through its own resources in combination with ABB Group resources, leasing option or bank loan with following grant from operational program OPEI. As a conclusion will be recommendation the best form of financing the planned project.

Analysis and comparison of the The Czech Operational programme Podnikání a inovace and The Operational programme Innowatywna gospodarka

The purpose of this thesis is to show the difference between The Czech Operational programme Podnikání a inovace and The Operational programme Innowatywna gospodarka, which is the polish alternative. There is also evaluated a level of success of these Operational programmes in my thesis. The evaluation is based on available, current data. I took into consideration data as a number of approved grant applications, a difference between originally planned grant amounts and amounts of approved grants. For objective point of view, several criterions were monitored. These criterions are for example: a number of new established companies in followed period, a number of new applies for a patent, a number of new applies for designs, utility models. In addition you can find a brief overview of changes in R & D, of development in start-up sector etc., in this thesis. Last but not least, the evaluation of Operational programmes depends on Innovation Union Scoreboard.
SME's support from EU structural funds with focus on OPEI South Bohemian region

The main target of this study is to evaluate the accessibility and exploitation of the OPEI programme by the small and middle enterprises in the South Bohemian region. The theoretical part begins with the basic characteristics of the small and middle enterprises (SME), definitions, importance and developments of the SME. Next chapters of the theoretical part are dedicated to economic and social cohesion policy, EU structural funds and programmes active in the Czech Republic in the 2007-2013 period. The practical part is devoted to the evaluation of the OPEI current state and analysis of the support usage by small and middle enterprises in the South Bohemian region. Procedures for project processing and basic characteristics of the problems, which may arise during obtaining the support are also included in the practical part of the study. Conclusion is focused on the assessment of the analysis results.
Drawing funds from the European Union by Czech businesses

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of financial resources from the European Union by the Czech business companies. In the theoretical section is defined the concepts of regional policy, its targets for the period 2007-2013 and the Structural Funds. Specifically, it focuses on the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations. The practical part is based on questionnaire research. The questionnaire was sent to Czech companies which draw from the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations. The goal was to find answers to the following questions: what is the business information on option grants, what is the difficulty of the grant application process and the problems that businesses face.
A project of introduction of ICT into a medium sized enterprise

In the theoretical part, this master thesis deals with ICT, Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations with a focus on the programme of support ICT in Enterprises. Furthermore, with the definition of SMEs and specific features of medium sized enterprise. In the practical part, an ICT project in a chosen company is described and analyzed. The project is evaluated and further opportunities of development of ICT in the company are suggested. The last chapter provides implications from the ICT area for similar businesses.
Business support in the Czech Republic. Evaluation of current situation and proposals for possible changes

The thesis is focused on description and evaluation of current support of business activities, as well as on presentation of the most important fields of business activities, such as a support of small-scale and middle-scale enterprises, support of business activities environment, support of research, development and innovations, support of export -- both from European and national funds. Considerable attention was paid to a support of research, development and innovations, as these are the most important elements to strengthen the competitiveness of European economics on a world-wide scale, comparing it with its largest world competitors, such as Japan and USA. Next part is focused on direct and indirect support of business activities within the scope of particular operational programmes, comparing OPEI (Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations) and OPIE (Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise). The closing part is about the support of business activities within the period of world financial crises and measurements adopted in relation with such a situation.
Use of the feasibility studies in the EU projects financed by structural funds

The bachelor thesis aims on the practical use of the Feasibility Study in the projects supported by the European Union. Theoretical part presents the regional policy of the EU and current financial resources available for the Czech small and medium enterprises. It focuses on the importance and structure of the feasibility study, which is part of the applicant's project application. The analytical part of the thesis describes three real studies from three different Czech companies - SMEs operating in the printing industry. The applicants co-financed their projects from the operational program OPPI, subprogram ICT in enterprises. The bachelor thesis analyzes the impact of the feasibility study on the implementation of individual projects. The main goal of this work is to answer the question whether the information included in the feasibility studies describing the progress of the project corresponds to the real situation during the implementation.
