Evaluation of selected acquisitions Czech franchise concepts

This thesis is concerned with modern and dynamically developing worldwide business method that is called franchising. In this thesis are described three selected franchise concepts operating on the Czech market originally from the Czech Republic. Examined concepts are from the field of gastronomy and these concepts are Svejk Restaurant, Potrefena husa and The PUB. The opening part introduces theoretical basis and analysis of the Czech franchising market in the trade and service sector. In main part of this thesis is carried out an analysis of selected concepts and are examined objectives of the thesis. The main objective is to evaluate the economic and business efficiency of selected franchise concepts. To achieve this objective is used a comparative analysis of the concepts according to established criteria. The first partial objective is to determine interest of potential entrepreneurs about the selected concepts, which is identified by questionnaire. The second partial objective is to evaluate selected concepts and proposing of innovative processes.

This bachelor thesis focuses on franchising as a form of market entry.The aim of this thesis is to describe franchising as a efficient way of cooperating on theoretical and practical basis. The first chapter describes franchising as a form of cooperation and what are the basic principles of the relation between franchisor and franchisee. History and basic types of franchising are described as well. The second chapter describes a process of forming particular franchise business and what is the goal of running a pilot project.It also includes some basic facts about franchisee recruitment. The third part informs about pros and cons related to franchising from a franchisor and franchisee point of view. The fourth part describes a history of franchising in the Czech Republic. Finally the fifth part describes franchise system of Svejk restaurant, which is very successful and original czech franchise business.
Franchising as a method of entering the market

This bachelor thesis deals with franchising as a method of entering the market. My work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the first part I describe the essential principals of functioning every franchising system. I explain the mutual relationship between franchisor and franchisee and also advantages and disadvantages for both of them. As a next part I mention the importance of using franchising in the world and also in the Czech Republic. Practical part deals with concrete usage of franchising in a system of restaurants known as "Švejk restaurant".

The goal of this thesis is to explain the principles of franchising. The thesis is made up of three chapters. First teoretical chapter is concerning about the advantages and the disadvantages for franchisors and frnchisants. In the thesis, there is described the situation on the czech market and possible perspective of another development.. Second one contains details about the franchise concept that offers the company Daos Plus s.r.o. At last the conclusions of research among young people are published and show the general knowledge in this area.
