Arsenjev, Mikoláš ; Szczepanik, Petr (advisor) ; Klimeš, Ivan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development and soft pre-production process of an yet unrealized Czech feature-film called Krajina ve stínu, which has been in the state of preparation since 2012. The authors of the project are screenwriter Ivan Arsenjev, director Bohdan Sláma and producer Martin Růžička, the story of the film tells about the historic phase of post-war expulsion of Germans from Czech lands in 1945. The thesis describes collaboration between the screenwriter, director and producer and the development of their creative vision. It also portrays the gradual involvement of other players, the endeavor of financing the project and the way these external conditions had influence on the creative vision. Furthermore, on the example of the unexperienced producer Růžička, who entered the project also as a financier, are shown the necessary skills for producing films in the Czech production culture. The thesis significantly draws upon the semi-structured interviews with the players and includes many excerpts from these.
