Competitiveness of small and medium enterprises in selected sector

This thesis evaluates the current status of the small and medium-sized enterprises in the brewing industry in terms of competitiveness and their market position. It reviews the effectiveness and possibilities for further development of two companies in the Pilsen region which belong to the category of small and medium-sized enterprises - the restaurant breweries: Lukrecius a.s. and Akciový pivovar Letiny a.s.
Small and meidum-sized enterprises have lower economic strength compared to large businesses. Another problem that affects almost all enterprises in The Czech Republic since the middle of the year 2016 is the shortage of staff. Even the restaurant breweries are affected by these problems.
Small breweries have been developing fast since 2013. About 50 new small breweries are founded every year. To become competitive, the breweries must have a certain competitive advantage so they need to know their strengths and weaknesses and above all, they must know the business environment in their area. The companies are usually very closesly connected with the region where they operate.

Pension reform in the Czech Republic

Diploma thesis is deals with the issue of pension reform in the Czech Republic. Pension system in the Czech Republic in the past few years undergone a series of major changes. The main objective of all reforms steps is the stabilization and long-term sustainability of the entire system related to the changing demographic structure of the population.
As the main denominators of reform made adjustments can be mentioned: determining the retirement age, the length of compulsory insurance policy for the redistribution of money in the system and citizens' motivation for saving their own resources.
The work focuses on the analysis undertaken reforms and current situation in the field of pensions. It also deals with specific evaluation opportunities own means of providing for old age. Based on the findings it made recommendations for Czech citizens as financially ensure old age.

The bachelor thesis entitled Analysis of the educational system of a specific public catering company deals in its practical part with the definition of basic concepts and themes based on study of professional literature. Above all it is about human resources management, adult education and training and the topic of business education. The practical part characterizes the company to which the analysis relates, describes its educational system and deals with brief characteristics of survey respondents. It also describes the methods and procedures of exploratory survey. Then the obtained data are evaluated and interpreted in the practical part. Following them, the SWOT analysis of opportunities and threats of the educational system within the company is arranged and proposals for its streamlining are submitted.

Pension reform in the Czech Republic

The existing pension system which is established basically on support of economically active people cannot fully cover all pension costs. Increasing financial needs for covering of old age pensions are one of reasons for increasing debit of state budget. Because there are plenty of opinions and ideas for final shape of pension system the main purpose of this diploma thesis is to inform readers about the possibility to shift part of pension system costs towards taxes. In case of political concensus for covering pension system costs also by tax system the pension system in Czech republic would achieve dreamed financial stability.

The position of small and medium enterprises in the Czech Republic

The presented thesis deals with a specific definition of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Czech Republic. It evaluates the status of SMEs in the Czech economy in terms of their position in raising funds, especially from the banking sector in order to ensure stability and growth.
The thesis deals with the explanation of basic concepts and categories in the field of business in the theoretical part, the position of SMEs in the economy, their development, contribute to the economic stability of the country and the impact on employment. There is also a support concept in the years 2014 - 2020 characterized by the thesis. Impacts of the economic crisis on SMEs and intervention by the Government of the Czech Republic are mentioned as well. Financing options are presented in detail.
The practical part is devoted to a financial analysis of the selected company, evaluation of resulting indicators and determination of conditions for granting business loans. Recommendations for the chosen company are presented in the conclusion part, with regard to their situation within the issue of financing potential investment in fixed assets.

Consolidated financial statements

This Bachelor Thesis deals with the topic of consolidated financial statement. In the introduction to the theoretical part I explain the terminology concerning accounting in general. It covers what accounting actually is, which laws and standards regulate it, who is obliged to keep the accounts, and it explains terms like financial statement and its components, inventory taking, and other topics.
The second section of the theoretical part presents the notion of the consolidated financial statement, and also introduces the concept of the consolidated accounting entity. I describe the rules for compiling consolidated financial statements according to the Czech legal norms as well as International Financial Reporting Standards. Some of the International Financial Reporting Standards which relate to the consolidated financial statements are described in more detail and compared in some respects with Czech legal norms. Subsequently, I characterize the methods of consolidation, consolidation rules,
and the content definition of consolidated financial statement items.
The practical part performs the calculation of consolidated financial statements on a model example, using the full method of consolidation.

Assessment of the position of the chosen company Building

Nowadays, small and middle size companies create comprehensive business area, that have irreplaceable function in the economics of developed countries. These companies are an essential part of creating jobs and therefore they influence the development of employment as such. Small and middle size companies are able to readjust to very specific needs of customers. They also face immediate influences of economic environment which is why they have to react to various situations flexibly.
The diploma theses deals with the evaluation of the position of INTERM s.r.o. company which operates in the area of delivery and construction of structural gaps. The theses contains both external and internal analysis including the evaluation of the market position of the company. The theses also deals with the choice of suitable strategy and solution suggestions for consolidating of contemporary state, possibly strengthening the position of the company on the market.

Career Guidance at Secondary Schools

The bacelor thesis which is named Career guidance at secondary schools is divided in theoretical and practical parts.
The theoretical part is aimed at career guidance itself, how it is defined and how it works not only in education department. There is described history, development and the current condition of career guidance. This part reffered also to whom the career guidance is inteded and which abilities and skills a career consultant has to have.
The practical part describes the attitudes and opinions of approached students who study secondary vocational schools and grammar schools. A questionnaire survey checks the research questios which were set at first.
The research says that schools do not get help to their students with choice of career enough. But this is a benefit for students because they learn independence which they will need in labour market.

The Implementation of Career guidance into the Curriculum of Particular Vocational Secondary School

The bachelor´s thesis is called "Implementation of career counseling in the educational program of a specific secondary school", at theroretical part the thesis inquires the characteristics of career counseling and defines all individual phenomena that affects it. The practical part of this thesis analyzes current rate of career counseling application in a specific secondary school, following by proposal of wider and more effective ways of implementation.
The main goal of this thesis is analyis of the current quality of career counseling in the specific secondary school, which would offer to students more specific and comprehensive information about career counseling, which could be use when entering into the labour market and decision making in the future.

Career Guidance at Secondary Vocational School

Bachelor thesis with title Career Guidance at Secondary Vocational School is about career consultancy on Secondary Vocational School and is divided into theoretical and practical part.
The basic concepts of career consulting will be defined in the theoretical part. There will be briefly described its history and evolution. There will be also described a system of career consulting in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The description of part of the current legislation included.
It asks whom career consulting should serve to. The goals, steps (phases) and an important components of career consulting will be explained.
In the practical part was done quantitative questionnaire survey between pupils of choosen secondary school, which was focused on subconscious mind of pupils about career consultancy. Next three interviews with two teachers were done. With Ing.arch. David Bartoš, Ing. Petr Lorez, Csc. and with educational consultant Mgr. Dagmar Svobodová.
Based on both surveys were designed recomendations for improvement of career consultancy on choosen secondary specialized school.
