Trainer's Possibilities to Support the Transfer of Soft Skills Training into Practice of the Course Participants

The theses aim to answer the question of how a trainer of soft skills can support the trainees in an application of what they have learned at the course back in their practice, that is to enhance the transfer of training. First both the "soft skills" and the "transfer of training" are characterized and the specifics of their combination - the transfer of soft skills training - are presented. The following part describes four fundamental conditions to transfer as the key areas the trainer should work with to support the transfer. They are discussed from the perspective of psychology and subsequently, the recommendations for trainers' work are drawn. Those recommendations are also the focus of the empirical study. Conducted as expert interviews, it is closely connected to the previous chapter, as it follows the structure of the four conditions to transfer in both the interviews and the data analysis. Yet the experts are also asked to express their view of transfer and what they consider to be the key elements of it. As the research aims to identify a broad spectrum of intervention strategies to support transfer, also the experts are selected to represent a broad spectrum of experienced soft skills trainers.
