Algorithm Acceleration on Larrabee Platform
Veselý, Ivo ; Seeman, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Intel Larrabee is one of the first of fully programmable graphical architectures. Thesis describes this many-core architecture by hardware implementation and programmer's model point of view. Larrabee bets on many complete in-order cores, built over x86 instruction set. Cores contains four hardware threads, each with it's own register file, and new vector processing unit. Vector processing unit together with instruction set extension rapidly increases system performance. New cache modes helps to increase throughput even when irregular data structures. This architecture is not focused only on computer graphics nor image processing, but all parallel tasks. Second part of this text deals with hologram synthesis. Specifically, it brings two new methods for patch of point light sources generation with concrete radiation.
The implementation of AC induction motor control algorithms in DSP 56F8xxx
Jenča, Pavol ; Veselý, Ivo (referee) ; Blaha, Petr (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis a control algorithms for induction motors are solved using the methods PDSFC and DTC. Functional algorithms are developed in C and assembly language and are transferred from Simulink to a digital signal processor series 56F8xxx of Freescale corporation. The thesis describes induction motors, used control methods, control schemes developed in Simulink, control algorithms in C and assembly language for each block of created schemes and comparation of simulated solutions.
Methods of Realistic Rendering
Veselý, Ivo ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with possibility of operation of realistic graphics on commonly used technical equipment. There are discussed methods of realistic rendering for the purposes of the thesis. Especially the method of Ray tracing. The acceleration techniques and abstractions of reality are explained. They are necessary for real-time running such a time-consuming system. The bounding volume hierarchy is hardly discussed. A part of the text is also focused on additional techniques for scene building and for material characteristics of models. There is a section focused on lighting models because of lighting lets us to see things. Great part of thesis is focused on techniques of connecting standard rendering methods and details computed independently at software. On the other hand there are mentioned alternative techniques that are considered as possible future move.
Mobile Control Unit for Transporting Lungs
Sonnenschein, Jiří ; Veselý, Ivo (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
In the first part of this master’s thesis an overview about lungs (anatomy, physiology and respiratory mechanics) is given. Next sections are focused on description of the mechanical lung simulator and the mobile circulatory module. The use, construction, function, observed parameters and control scheme of the mobile circulatory module is described. Control unit which is divided into separate modules is introduced including description of power supply and communication. In following chapters a description of DCNM (Direct Control and Notification Module) is given.
PMSM robust control
Rajnošek, Michal ; Veselý, Ivo (referee) ; Blaha, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on robust control of permanent magnet synchronous motors. In the early chapters is given theory to design robust controllers using H infinity method and description and features of permanent magnet synchronous motors. Last chapters contains design of current and speed controllers for specific engines. Functionality of these controllers is verified by simulations.
Assessment of the level of cyber risks using the proposed tool
Černoušek, Robin ; Veselý Jindřich, Ing. MBA (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of information security management system and determination of the current level of cybersecurity maturity and determination of risk areas. The theoretical part contains the basic background and concepts of the whole thesis. The chapter of the current state analysis introduces the organization and describes the current state of its information security management system and risk management. The actual design of the solution is a tool created in MS Excel that allows the organization to determine the current level of risk.
ISMS Implementation Status Assessment
Černoušek, Robin ; Veselý Jindřich, Ing., MBA (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of information security management system and evaluation of the current state using a created tool. The theoretical part contains the basic principles and concepts of the whole work. The chapter on the analysis of the current state introduces the organization and describes the current state of its information security management system. The actual design of the solution is a tool in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, which will allow an analysis of the current state of the ISMS implementation level in the company.
Parameter Identification of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
Veselý, Ivo ; Bobál, Vladimír (referee) ; Janeček, Eduard (referee) ; Blaha, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this dissertation is to design identification methods for identifying a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The whole identification and motor control is carried out in d-q coordinates, and the program used for processing and control was the matlab simulink, together with the real time platform DSpace. The work focuses on two main areas of identification, off-line identification and on-line identification. For offline identification the frequency analysis was used with the lock rotor test to get three main parameters. They are the quadrature and direct inductances and stator resistance. In the online mode, the identified parameters were extended to magnet flux _f identified by MRAS method. The remaining parameters were again identified by frequency analysis, which was adapted into online mode, and simultaneously applied to the identification of several part in one time. The next method is Newton method, which is used for estimating stator resistance of the motor, without the need to apply any signal.
