Controller of the Da Vinci robotic arm instrument using LabVIEW
Vítová, Hana ; Havlíková, Marie (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor work describes creation of interface for surgical robotic hand Da Vinci made by Intuitive Surgical. First goal was to get familiarized with its functions. This is the contents of the first few chapters. The rest of the work focuses on communication design between computer and Da Vinci arm instrument. On the user side, there is a controlling device connected, a gamepad with levers, which allows user to move two independent blades on the instrument. Transmission of this movement to the robotic arm instrument is task of a software programmed in LabVIEW. It evaluates entry data from the gamepad and after comparing them to predefined bounds, it sends bit instructions to Da Vinci. The communication is opened in the last part of the sofware solution and the data (2 bytes) are sent through serial protocol to target device. Program provides also a limited options, which can be set by the user. These settings are primarily used for easy portability between computers. Via graphical interface has user complete visual control over input values. The whole design is based on the real possibilities of arm instrument manoeuvreability and mechanical support design using stepping motors.
Non-invasive Blood Glucose Measuring
Vítová, Hana ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Goal of my master´s thesis is examination of non-invasive blood glucose measurement methods, and designing of device for non-invasive blood glucose reading. The introductory chapter of thesis contains description of know different methods for blood glucose measurement, mainly Near Infra-Red region (NIR) measurement with spectroscopy methods. This project describes pathology of Diabetes Mellitus, specifies how it is divided, and looks also on human metabolism. The theoretical part contains exploration of blood glucose measurement methods. Thesis continues with system scheme design for non/invasive glucose measurement device, based on present knowledge. Major principle of device is measuring with Infra-Red laser, bifurcate optic fiber and photodiode. Design of printed circuit board is also present. Document contains also designs of software diagrams for calibration and processing program written in C# language. Communication between device and computer is made via USB. Microcontroller with C language program is part of designed device. It is used to send measured values into PC and also receives data from computer. This data determines blood glucose concentration and their thresholds.
Specifické poruchy učení u žáků středních škol z pohledu učitelů
Vítová, Hana
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to discuss the issue of specific learning disabilities, with primary focus on upper secondary school students and their education. The theoretical part provides clarification of the individual disabilities as well as their classification into categories. The important factors leading to the development of learning disabilities at young age are explained in this part of thesis. Particular emphasis is placed on the methods of diagnostics of individual learning difficulties, on investigation of re- educational activities and remedial measures. The question of appropriate assessment of students with specific disorders is discussed in depth. In addition, the current system of professional counselling for students with specific learning needs and the forms of individual learning plans already put in praxis will be introduced. The theoretical part will be based on using of scientific methods of primary and secondary sources´analysis and synhesis. The qualitative research conducted on the upper secondary schools located in the South Moravian region will constitute the empirical part of the thesis. School surveys will be distributed to sample teachers with the aim to gather data related to the practical aspects of education. The main focus will be put on collecting opionions, practical approaches and values held by teachers concerning working with students facing learning disabilities. The outcome of the research will be a set of comprehensive recommendations to improve pedagogical work and to increase learning opportunities for young people with learing difficulties.
